Radiation treatments are going well. Monday was #11 out of 20. When we hit day 16 the radiation changes a bit as it will then be concentrated on the scar. It seems that often times breast cancer comes back on the scar and the last 4 treatments should take care of that. On Monday's we see the Radiation Oncologist and he says things are going well. Far Guy is really good about using the special radiation cream about four times a day.
Far Guy finished up the Christmas Ornaments and now it is my turn to seal them and put names on them. Soon I can package them all up. I have 16 more to do and then I can cross that off my list! Hopefully in the next day or two!
Tuesday is a two appointment day also...radiation and then a virtual appointment in the afternoon.
A pretty dog at the dog park on Sunday.
It sure sounds like things are doing better for you both, I'm happy to hear this.
ReplyDeleteGood for you for getting through this. We navigate cancer, and hope for the best.
ReplyDeleteMy late father had dementia and delirium when he was having radiation treatments during Stage 4 cancer. He put pain relief cream on his forehead and was in more pain. It was awful.
Perfect chili weather. It's wonderful for you both that the radiation is going so well.
ReplyDeleteYou all made really good progress yesterday on accomplishing things. Also very happy for the good reports for FG. Is your back doing better? Do you still have pain or not like before the surgery? If so, is it tolerable?
ReplyDeleteLynda, I depends on what i am doing and the day. RA complicates everything. Yes I still have pain, it isn't has bad a before surgery but it could be better for sure.
DeleteI had never known about the scar radiation. I guess it makes sense doesn't it? Over halfway done! Yay! Good for you on the ornaments. I've gotten our suitcase out and am slowly adding things as I think about them. Otherwise I'll forget something important for sure.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
So glad the treatments are going well!
ReplyDeleteThat was a pretty white dog. :)
It's so great to hear the good news about Far Guy's treatments. I'm sure no one is more relieved than he is.
ReplyDeleteTake care and stay warm.
So grateful for you guys that the radiation is not as grueling as the chemo. Chili sounds good.
ReplyDeleteWe are getting colder and colder now also. That dreaded time of year is nearing
ReplyDeleteKeep up with the appointments. They will bring results.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear the radiation treatments are going well.
ReplyDeleteChili for a chilly day sounds good.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate the positive updates concerning FG's cancer treatment.
That sounds like good news!!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the treatments are going well. Hopefully this chapter will be over soon and only good things coming your way. I made a new chili today- white chicken chili and it was so good! I'd never attempted it before.
ReplyDeleteGood for you guys, finishing up your Christmas ornaments. And good for far guy, making his way through those radiation appts. Hoping things continue to go well for you two. I bet your chili was good! I haven't had that for quite a while. Do take good care as you make your way through this week. diane in northern wis
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you are almost done with the Christmas ornaments. I'm sure it will be nice to have one thing crossed off the list, especially with as busy as you've been with appointments lately! That dog in the photo is adorable! :)
ReplyDeleteLD...I am the only chili eater in the family of two so I get wonderful canned chili from the store. I am sure you two cook up a great soup.
