Miss Minnesota lives just down the road from us. She is a very bubbly, happy down to earth Minnesota NICE gal.
Tonight is the Miss America pageant. We will be watching and keeping our fingers and toes crossed for Emma. You can watch on the Miss America channel on You tube or at Pageant Vision.I have been watching the Miss America evening gown and the talent competition with she who sees robins first and other family members. It has been great fun! Emma wore a beautiful pink and silver gown for the evening gown competition and for her talent she sang California Dreamin'. I thought she sang better than many of the contestants!
Minnesota weather yesterday: High 57F or 14C Low was 37F or 3C. It was a tad chilly in the morning and it rained a bit.
We went out for lupper at our favorite Mexican place that will only be open a few more weeks.
Far Side
I know nothing about the Miss America competion

Donna
Best of luck to her! :)
ReplyDeleteI've never watched those pageants, but I bet they are some of the more wholesome fare on TV these days.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting!!! I wish her well.
ReplyDeleteThis is exciting...it is always good to see familiar faces in events like this. Hopefully you can enjoy the Mexican place a few more times before it closes for the season... Happy Sunday Connie..
ReplyDeleteI will be rooting for Miss Minnesota! When I was a little girl, the Miss Indiana pageant was held in my town so my Mom & I would go every year, for the last night. I have a few of the souvenir books still, that Mom used to buy me. Such wonderful memories! Thanks for stirring those up, Connie. Love, Andrea xoxo
ReplyDeleteWe don't have those channels! How did she do?
ReplyDeleteThe Pageant is tonight Sunday
Delete57 F is very cool. We are still hot. 25 C yesterday.
ReplyDeleteI had no idea this was happening not who Miss Minnesota is. I remember when this was broadcast on network tv.
ReplyDeleteI had forgotten all about the Miss America Pageant, now that it is not on network TV. Good luck to your local gal.
ReplyDeleteI hope your little lady takes the prize. Fun to watch with others.
ReplyDeleteYour weather is really cool. We’re in the 70’s for highs.
I'm of the age who remembers Bert Parks MCing the competition. I see Miss Minnesota didn't win or place; it's too bad.
ReplyDeleteLD....That is fun to see how she does. We have bragging rights of a football player for ISU that lives two doors up the way. He and we were happy to see them win this weekend's game.
ReplyDeleteI just opened YouTube and they are introducing the judges. I haven't watched it in years. How exciting to know someone who knows one of the contestants! I'll keep my fingers crossed for Emma.
ReplyDeleteSo exciting for our little towns and entire Minnesota!
ReplyDeleteI remember this on television, didn't realize it wasn't on network tv anymore. What fun to know a contestant! Good Luck Miss Minnesota!
