We got some soil for some bare spots in the yard and will plant some grass seed soon hopefully just before a rain. We can always hope for rain. It is dry here.
I unearthed some of my pretty whirly gigs.
That bird feeder on the right side of the photo is supposed to be squirrel proof...well maybe for dumb squirrels...they have figured out how to unclip the springs that shut the feed off. Buggers anyways.
I put up some solar bees around the wreath next to the door. Not sure if they get enough sunshine there.
I have some more "bee" stuff to add to the wreath but every time I go upstairs to retrieve them I forget and do something else... like put stuff away that I have thrown upstairs ...like look at yarn...sort yarn...:)
Nice day yesterday sunny and 72 F (Far Guy says it was warmer than that!) or 23 C eh. Supper was tri tips over a baked potato and fruit..raspberries and pineapple. Oh and a loaf of fresh bread.
Far Side
Glad to see those lawn ornaments again!
ReplyDeleteWeird weather. Your temperatures are higher than ours down south. We have lots of rain here. Hope some rain comes your way soon.
ReplyDeleteYour wind turbines are beautiful... I love them :-))
ReplyDeleteI have bread in the oven... I hope you get the rain. Best wishes from Viola
I've always wanted one of those twirly things and just might have to break down and get a couple this year. so cute!! I sure wish I could have sent you some of the rain we had yesterday...Oh my, it POURED! It was like the sky was dumping everything it had on us.
ReplyDeleteSquirrels just keep on working on a feeder until something accidentally falls apart.
ReplyDeleteThe whirly gigs are so pretty. Darned squirrels, they can be such a nuisance.
ReplyDeleteWe're looking at rain for much of next week, hope you get the same.
Those whirlygigs are very pretty! I have a couple of those same squirrel proof feeders. They also learn to hang off the pole sideways to reach the feeder without putting any weight on it. Squirrels are much more clever than we give them credit for.
ReplyDeleteWish a little of our rain would come to you. We have had more rain than we need. I know what you mean about starting a project and ending up working on some other project instead. I drive myself buggy!
ReplyDeleteI like the whirly gigs. We've had some rain but we can sure use more. Dinner sounds wonderful to me.
ReplyDeleteRecently I bought a whirly thing at a Dollar Store. It seems sturdy enough and I hope it lasts the summer. Somehow I think you probably made yours . They're fancier.
ReplyDeleteI have a similar feeder that's suppose to be squirrel proof - but they just hang from the top so they don't activate the gate. They are the smartest dumb critters on this planet, I am sure!
ReplyDeleteI love the colorful whirly gigs!!
ReplyDeleteSquirrels are super smart little critters, that's for sure.
Enjoy this warm weather! :)
Charlie delights in chasing squirrels ... so they rarely get close to the feeders. They do sneak in underneath them to find seeds once in a while.
ReplyDeleteSquirrels are just too darn smart.
ReplyDeleteYour weather sounds lovely. Now for some rain to make the grass grow.
I love them!
ReplyDeleteSometimes I feel that the squirrels and raccoons meet at night to plot against us.
ReplyDeleteI'm giving up on feeding the birds and hummers. My neighbors do and the squirrels get mine and I only have 1 hummer occasionally. It's one less chore. Your yard ornaments are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteLove your whirly gigs!
