We finally had the chance to get in the trail cam and download the photos.
We had some weird tracks in the yard one day…never found out what it was.
I did notice some larger than Chance tracks and some turkey tracks.
Odda came to visit one day while Far Guy was in the hospital.
The turkeys must have thought it was easy pickins when Chance was away.
We had a busy week. Three health care appointments, some house cleaning and shopping for groceries was accomplished. We are staying to ourselves for a few more weeks. Far Guy walked outside yesterday for the first time in almost a month.
I am feeling much better, I am still a little tired but my cough is completely gone…knock on wood. It took just about a month to get rid of it…I first got sick January 18…so figure a month. That was one long lasting siege. Far Guy still has nine days to go before his month is up. I hope his cough is completely gone by then.
Good thing to stay away from others during this flu season. I read that it is a worse flu season than usual.
ReplyDeleteWow, those turkeys called in all their cousins! Good thing they didn't try to land on the feeders. :-)
ReplyDeleteI've been reading through your blog and am happy to have found it. The flu going around is horrid and we are trying to stay away from it too.
ReplyDeleteSounds like things are looking up all the way around. So glad! Blessings~ Andrea xxx
ReplyDeleteHaha Odda, busted!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are felling better, and still keeping FG in my prayers.
feeling..... gotta spell check before I hit that publish button!
DeleteGlad he's coming along, staying in isolation is a good idea. My husband is doing the same to me. My prayers for you two.
ReplyDeleteMy cough is into its third week but is almost gone. I did a yoga class yesterday and managed to keep from coughing more than twice (meaning I had to leave the room and head to the bathroom to cough). Yay to hear you are both on the mend. :-)
ReplyDeleteOdda was looking for Chance and you guys. The turkeys were glad not to see any of you--LOL! Glad your cough is gone. (I just knocked on wood.) Hope FarGuy is right behind you. I'd stay away from everybody as much as possible for the rest of the winter to be honest. Snow storm should be coming through again tomorrow. Glad you guys got groceries and appointments done for a little bit. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd slowly things get back to normal. Illness takes a lot out of you and so it's a long way back to normal.
ReplyDeleteI'm starting week three. I'd hoped to have have knocked this thing faster. Ugh. Glad you two are doing better!
ReplyDeleteME TOO! One month then done!
ReplyDeleteWell knock on wood we are without a sniffle or a cough here. I worried a little last week when I had to go and get a small, probably cancerous spot removed from my nose at the hospital. Especially when I heard the surgeon sniffing behind his mask, but so far so good. Sounds like Far Guy is well on the way to recovery though, it's been a scary exhausting time for you both, all the best.!! We need to get our trail cam back up, but need to pick a spot that we don't walk past every morning. Get tired of seeing nothing but ourselves and the dogs.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're both on the mend.
ReplyDeleteGlad you both are feeling better. Whatever this virus is, it doesn't leave easily or quickly. I'll be glad to see spring arrive!
ReplyDeleteThat's quite a flock of turkey visitors cleaning up under your feeders!
ReplyDeleteIt's good to hear about your health improvements.
I'm so happy to hear you are both doing better. I hope Far Guy doesn't try to do too much too soon - I know how these guys can be. Neither one of you needs a relapse! Smart to stay in and away from lots of people for now. The flu has been so horrible this year that we are doing the same thing most of the time. It sure can cause a good case of cabin fever though can't it!
ReplyDeleteI just love to see your trail cam pictures! It is fun to see what shows up when no one is there.
I'm glad you both are better. Good grief! at the turkeys! Looks like your yard was a busy place while you were away.
ReplyDeleteI'm amazed that the turkeys are brave enough to come right into the yard/ I guess the chance of food over-rides their fear.
ReplyDeleteI love the turkeys as they wander through their path through the farm here. I'm glad things are looking up there. Good to see everything looking up! Take it slow.
ReplyDeleteSeeing who visited while Chance was away - turkey's enjoying the pickings. Glad to hear that each day is a bit better. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteJoy
That is so cool that trail cam! I might have to look into one of those! Fascinating night life you have or at least when you're gone....how do they know when no one's around? Hmmmm.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are both on the upswing...it's been a rough winter and a really ugly one down here with no snow. Spring is coming as the daffodils are up 3 inches here! It's 31 this morning but temps are going up fast and rain and high temps all next week. I'm pretty sure it's a sign plus I saw my first dead skunk so they're out of hibernation down here. Up North that was always my first sign that Spring was around the corner. Have a great week and keep getting better!
