Home

Sometimes the path to getting better is full of steps and icy spots…the important thing is to keep on keeping on.

Far Guy was released from the hospital yesterday.  His Doctor ordered all the IV antibiotics and steroids that he could.  Now it just takes time.  Far Guy could have stayed in the hospital for a few more days but he chose to come home to me and Chance.   He has the option of going back if he is not doing well.

Boy was Chance happy to see him!  Far Guy napped, I made chicken and dumplings for supper…chicken is medicinal isn’t it?

We plan to just stay home and rest this week.  So far so good.  It is much easier for me to care for him at home rather than running back and forth to the hospital.

We are thankful that he was able to return home.

Thank you for all your prayers and good thoughts!

  3. Yes, sometimes it easy to care for people at home and the patient does better at home. You don't need to be running back and forth to the hospital as you are just recovering yourself. Both of you get better real soon. You are both in my prayers.

  4. I'm glad Far Guy was able to come home. I always think it's easier to fully recover once you get to be back in your own home. I hope he's soon back to his old self again, and no return trips to the hospital are required.

  7. This news has made my day and maybe my whole week. I am glad all the bases are covered and Far Guy can get some rest. You need to get the same kind of rest and keep everything as low keyed as possible. Chicken anything will be helpful. I bet a good homemade meatloaf build him up too. You two take care.

  10. What wonderful news! It's also great that he can go back if need be. He will recover much better at home surrounded by those he loves and that love him. Plus, you won't get worn out running back and forth plus wondering when you are at home, how he is doing. I will continue to pray for you all. Hugs~Sam

  25. There is something so comforting about just being home in your own bed. Not to mention the touch of homemade chicken soup (or dumplings). Wishing both of you an uneventful recovery!

  28. Wishing you and your man a speedy get well. We just finished a three day yearly check up at the Alzheimers dementia Mayo research center. Unfortunately the results were much worse as I expected and know were on to psychiatry and help from social services. We stick with out motto though" we're and team and we keep on truckin" . I know you understand that concept and it's what we do....:)
