Garage Sale

I have spent the week getting ready for a garage sale.  The garage is as clean as it gets, tables are covered with quality junk and hopefully sales will be good and I can cross this off my list.

I didn’t find any surprises in the totes that have been accumulating out there.  I did find a few totes I had hidden upstairs, so hopefully I will have some empty ones after the sale.

It may rain on Friday but highs are supposed to be near 70 degrees.  The neighbors will stop by and we will visit, sometimes garage sales are kinda a social thing. Sometimes I think we just trade junk.

Chance will be in the house or on his lead…he thinks everyone that comes into the yard is his long lost friend.

We took time out yesterday to go to a garage sale ourselves and I bought two old photographs!   Far Guy went to the Shot Clinic and got his Kenalog Injection.  He gets that about every three months.  So it was a busy week.

  3. Garage sales are fun to go to, not so much to have yourself. I hope you get lots of stuff sold! :-)

  4. I need to have a sale! We have a city wide sale in the Spring and the Fall. I skipped Spring because it's always cold and wet but Fall should be good weather. You inspire me! I checked an antique mall that opened but they wanted $20 a month for 5 small shelves and 10% of what you sold. I think Etsy would be a better deal or Ebay plus a much bigger audience. Good luck! I hope it all sells!

  10. Good luck on your garage sale. Yes, garage sales are very social. I didn't get organized this year to have a garage sale.

  11. May you sell more than you buy. Thanks for the great card. It may go into a frame. I have nave never been in Minnesota in the fall. Someday we will correct that. I hope you day on Saturday will be a good one.

  15. I have never had a garage sale. We just donate stuff. I wonder if I would like doing one.
I hope you have fun and get rid of some stuff too!

  16. Poor Chance. I'm sure he doesn't understand that feeling of universal friendship is not always mutual.

I know at least one somebody who will be glad when tomorrow's garage sale is finished!

  18. I refuse to have garage sales anymore. I just give my unwanted stuff to Disabled Veterans or Goodwill (although Goodwill is last on the list). When you have $1 on a perfectly good pair of jeans and someone asks if you'll take 50 cents...just irritates me. The only exception is big items. We sold all of our old kitchen cabinets in one go to a guy who was putting them in his cabin.
