It was a lovely frosty morning for a long drive.
Adam’s Confirmation Class had three boys and one girl. Afterward we went to his home for brunch.
The happy confirmand. Two years of studying for this smile!
Adam and his Great Grandparents (my parents)
Jen and her boys
Andy, Adam and Jen
Noah, Andy, Jen and Adam
Jen made several different egg bakes, cinnamon rolls, and homemade mints. I think Andy wanted some meat with his meat so there were smokies surrounded by bacon that was just yummy! I smiled when I saw the skewers of powdered sugar donut holes…knowing that was Adam’s request…he loves donuts. There was a wonderful punch described as Orange on orange sherbet with something fizzy…it was perfect. Oh and fruit…how could I forget the fruit…everything I was allergic to was in one bowl and every fruit I am not allergic to in another! Our daughter is very thoughtful….guess she wants me to live yet another day!
It was a beautiful sunny day. It was good to visit with everyone. Richard, Trica, Savannah, Madison and Paige were there. Trica our oldest daughter was Adam’s Godmother at his baptism 14 years and 8 months ago.
a nice family time!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Adam. I am so very happy for him, his family and for you. That is such a special day. I remember my confirmation - there were 43 confirmands in my class (I went to a parochial school).
ReplyDeleteYou have such a wonderful family, and congratulations to Adam. Thank you for sharing these pictures so I can imagine being there, too. :-)
ReplyDeleteLook how tall Adam is beside your mom and dad! Would you tell us again how tall Adam and Noah are? You do have a nice family! Your talk about all the fruit you are allergic to being in one bowl made me laugh. That was thoughtful of Jen.
ReplyDeleteAdam and Noah are both about 6'2 + or - and growing taller everyday:)
DeleteHow wonderful! What a lovely family you have. Do your parents live up North too or did they travel with you? Those boys are tall. Congratulations to Adam and to all who supported and guided him all these years. It takes a village!
ReplyDeleteMy Parents live just 14 miles from us. We had Chance with us so my parents drove seperately:)
DeleteThose boys have become very handsome young men! Isn't it a blessing to live close enough to take part in such important events/milestones in their lives!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Adam. I love when families gather for happy occasions.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Adam. I am amazed as to how fast they both have grown up. Having had two boys I can identify with the life that Jen and Andy lead. I missed those days some days and other days I am happy as to where I am. Raising them to be strong good men and living independently and successfully is the goal.
ReplyDeleteHappy times! Congratulations to Adam.
ReplyDeleteYour grandsons have grown so fast! Happy Congrats to Adam!
ReplyDeleteLinda
It's easy to see who the boys inherited their height from! How lucky you are to have so many generations of your family alive and close enough for get togethers. Your parents may be great greats before too long!
ReplyDeleteWonderful! What a happy family, good for you.
ReplyDeleteConfirmations are a good excuse for a family gathering.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful celebration. I like the idea of donut holes on skewers!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Adam! Love the two bowls of fruit. Sweet! :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Adam. How wonderful that he has great-grandparents still in his life! I'm guessing your thoughtful daughter wants you around for a while, too.
ReplyDeleteLovely that Adam could be surrounded by his family on such a meaningful day. I'm not fond of do-nuts but I'm glad he got what he wanted!
ReplyDeleteYou do have a wonderful family, and so many of them nearby. What a lovely celebration.
ReplyDeleteSure brings back memories of my confirmation and my brothers. Oh those spring rituals and I HATED memorizing all that stuff and having to recite it (testing has never been my strong suit). I recently asked my Mom what her confirmation verse was - she popped it right off with no problem - I can't say the same for me!
