Last night was our youngest granddaughters winter formal. Traditionally the girls ask the boys for this date. Paige asked a boy. “Who is just a friend who is a boy Grandma.”
It was a beautiful day! 41 F or 5 C eh! The snow is melting.
Paige’s group of friends…well actually the parents plan a safe night for the kids. Photos were taken downtown then they were headed to eat and then the Grand March which we did not stay for. After the Winter Formal they will head to a lake home where movies, games and all kinds of food and a few parents await them.
All the girls wore silver shoes…do you suppose they discussed that in advance?
Paige’s dress was a two piece with an open midriff, the gown was basically white with a bit of polka dot white trim and accents of a peachy pink. She wore the bracelet I made for her on her right arm.
Paige and her date.
Pretty girls all lined up!
The whole group.
Paige
Paige looked beautiful, but then I am a tad biased.
Beautiful photos. You have good reason to be biased. And the bracelet is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHow high school formal dance dress has changed since my "day". Of course I graduated in 1047! The ancient past. Ha ha! You do the math.
ReplyDeleteShirley H.
OOPs! It was 1947 not 1047. Good heavens I am not THAT old! (Yet.)
DeleteActually, you aren't biased. She IS beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhat fabulous dresses all! I was impressed with the midriff idea, and it works. Thanks for the great sparkly pictures. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's good to see teens dressed up and having a good time. Paige is, indeed, beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAhhh youth....how I miss thee ;)
ReplyDeletePaige is so pretty. The bracelet is perfect for her beautiful dress. I loved seeing these photos.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that fun! They look lovely. I've never been to a formal. Guess that ship's left the harbour!
ReplyDeleteShe is stunningly beautiful...that's your genes, right?!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful girl and the others were too, so pretty without trying to look 25 already.
ReplyDeleteAll the girls look gorgeous! I'll bet they had a good time.
ReplyDeleteBeing biased in this case is allowed. It sounds like a good experience for all.
ReplyDeleteThe Winter formal and the activities afterwards sound like a lot of fun. Great pics!
ReplyDeleteShe is beautiful! It has nothing to do with grandma bias ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting all the beautiful pictures. Pretty girls, good-looking boys and lovely sparkly dresses.
ReplyDeletePaige is absolutely beautiful! Her dress is beautiful and looks like it was made just for her.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely group of young people, and Paige is quite lovely. Cute that they all wore silver shoes.
ReplyDeleteAll those kids looked gorgeous but I will admit my toes got cold just looking at those shoes! LOL
ReplyDeleteI agree with MTWaggin...there wasn't a shabby one in the group! I do think Paige's "friend" was the best looking guy though...I would have asked him too! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous gals and dresses and your bracelet went perfect with her dress. She looked beautiful but "open" midriff in winter? At my age, my formal would have been made out of flannel with long sleeves and feet....oh, those are my pj's! LOL! So glad it was only 41 for them....great photos! Glad they all had a good time and that the parents do so much to make it fun for them.
That's a lot of beauty in one place!
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of beauty in one place!
ReplyDeleteAw the beauty of youth, a beautiful bunch, the whole lot of them! I'm sure I never looked that good;-)
