Monday and Tuesday were like one of those frozen flashbacks. Then it happened. It snowed and the snow stayed on the ground.
Chance loves scooping up fresh snow in his mouth.
Winter was here about 48 hours then he released his icy grip and the sun came out.
You can almost watch the grass turn green.
During this cold spell I also heard a Loon calling down on the lake.
What else could we do but cook winter survival food…hot roast beef sandwiches with mashed potatoes and gravy and cooked carrots and fresh fruit.
I worked on my fur ball scarf and a bead project…Far Guy was busy painting bikini clad women for his train set…there must be a beach up there now.
Cute picture of Chance. After a lot of rain, we've had cooler temps and strong wind. The pollen is terrible! Sounds like a delicious hot meal you enjoyed and glad you both have projects indoors to keep you busy. Hope today will be a good day.
ReplyDeleteOh so it's you that sent this stuff to us here in Ontario lol ! We had a dusting this morning I woke to a few choice words being said to see it on the ground lol sounds like a YUMMY ! cozy meal Thanks for sharing , Have a good day !
ReplyDeleteWe have had snow the last 2 days; just glad it didn't stay on the ground. You winter survival meal sounds delicious. Love the picture of chance eating the snow.
ReplyDeleteWell, you DO live in Minnesnowda, after all. And you didn't get your fair share this winter, so of course you would have a last gasp of winter. :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful image - snow on the ground and Far Guy painting bathing beauties.
ReplyDeleteThat dinner sounds especially good.
I had to laugh at Far Guy and the bikini girls for his train set. I'd love to see the trains. I think these projects are so fascinating.
ReplyDeleteMother Nature has a cruel sense of humor....
ReplyDeleteYum, I love what's on the menu - when can I come over?
ReplyDeleteWhen you wrote that it was spitting snow I thought that won't be all you are going to get. It does give you more moisture to make that grass greener. Worked in the yard for a short time with a coat on clearing branches and dead tomato plant stems. Next week we will till the garden no matter what.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you both are feeling better. That snow will put some moisture in the ground which MN badly needs.

Far Guy must have spring fever -- painting bikini-clad girls! We have had snow and a couple very cold nights (25 degrees last night) that made all the daffodils hang their heads. Hopefully spring will come back.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a nice accomplishing (much) day.
ReplyDeleteYour spring is frustratingly slow. So you're doing the smart thing and rolling with the punches.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had an instant replay to winter! That's soup time for me!
ReplyDeleteMaybe Far Guy's bikini-clad women could use fur ball scarves too. Brrr! ;-). We had snowfall, but nothing stayed on the ground. I like the sound of your menu!
ReplyDeleteYes, what DJan said!
ReplyDeleteFur ball scarves and painted, bikini-clad women - thanks for the funny mind movie!
You got a lot more than we did! Our flakes melted when they hit the ground and didn't last long at all. All that hot air in the city--LOL! Definitely had to get the winter coat and gloves back out, though, that's for sure.
ReplyDeleteThey say winter is coming in here again this afternoon...Sigh!
