One guess where the Great Grandchildren are this week.
Peach and Cee Cee waiting for their brother to come off of a ride that they were too small for.

Looks like they are having fun.
Hey Mikey
And eating well too!
We had a quiet day at home. I did some laundry and cleaned the bathroom for excitement.
Jen made egg bake and pineapple for supper. It was delicious.
Years ago when Far Guy was stationed at MacDill AFB in Florida we visited Walt Disney World several times...it opened in 1971 and we were stationed at MacDill in 1973 and 1974.
Far Side

Look at those cuties !!! When I lived in Florida, Sept 1988 - Oct 2000, I lived in Deland and Lake Helen. I worked for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Volusia/Flagler Counties as their Financial Director. All my family from up north would vacation in FL and a lot stayed with me during their visits and I went to Disney more times than I can even remember, many of those years I went four times. And to Tampa to Busch Gardens, or the space coast and many beach trips. Great memories. Dawn P. Albany, GA
ReplyDeleteWell, they are not in Grand Rapids, that's for sure!
ReplyDeleteSomehow I've made it through my life and two kids without visiting that place. I'm pretty sure I didn't miss anything.
ReplyDeleteI think it might be sad that the highlight of your day is cleaning the bathroom....but there it does provide a sense of accomplishment in fairly short order! I visited Disney World quite a few times, sometimes with family and sometimes with students. I enjoyed it, but I've had enough of it - I don't need/want to run to get in lines for rides, I don't want to deal with all of the humanity, I don't want to be hungry and have aching feet - I can do that here, at my house!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you and Far Guy have interesting memories of that area. The children look like they are having a good time.
ReplyDeleteit's great to see Disney through the eyes of a kids. Even the photos show how much fun the kids are having.
ReplyDeleteVery thankful the greats are having a grand time! What wonderful memories! My husband actually proposed to me at Disney in Florida - - in Frontier Village. It was spur of the moment without all the planning and photo ops that young people do 'now-a-days'. It will be fifty years this September so guess it didn't matter how I was asked. He has been wonderful to me and our girls and all who know him these five plus decades!
ReplyDeleteWhat a huge delightful trip for those sweet kids
ReplyDeleteA wonderful trip for the Greats.
ReplyDeleteDo you get to go home soon?
Hopefully before Spring gets here:)
DeleteCalifornia or Florida? Being a west coaster I always think of Disneyland, but this is probably Disney World.
ReplyDeleteDisney World in Florida
DeleteWhat an adorable crew!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure they'll come back with exciting stories!! They sure are cute.
ReplyDeleteThey look like they’re having a wonderful time. Mandy’s family is planning to go this year.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
LS....They get to go to Disney World. That is amazing. My brother lives about ten miles from the California Disney.
ReplyDeleteNever been to Disney. My daughter lived right next door when they were living in Florida. It made for cheap flights on Spirit and Jet Blue who had great deals with Disney.
ReplyDeleteHow fun! Boy, they are sure growing!
ReplyDeleteOh, I bet they were excited to go to Disneyland/world. I'm of an age it would be too exciting for me. :)
ReplyDeleteThey look like they had a lovely time.
ReplyDeleteLol. I've never heard of anyone cleaning the bathroom for excitement
ReplyDeleteWhat fun they must be having.
