Some of our snow has taken on a dingy brownish color...snow and good old North Dakota soil makes the snow look yucky.
Here you can see the strip of dirty snow.
I ventured out for my PT appointment, Andy was up at o'dark thirty shoveling and snow blowing. I came back after my appointment and got Far Guy to drop me off at the grocery store door and pick me up again...much better than walking across an icy parking lot.
I finished an in between book. It is a Sandra Dallas book called Little Souls. It is historical fiction. It takes place in Denver Colorado during the Spanish Flu epidemic. I give it a 7...mostly because I think sexual abuse can be in a book but I do not want it to fuel the whole book. I would have written it differently...but you all probably guessed that already.
Four medical appointments this week, my one is done...Far Guy has three to go. We must travel to appointments in Fargo on Wednesday so we hope for no stormy weather.
Progress continues on the photo album project...I am on 1994.
Supper is Tacos, Far Guy's Chili Cheese Dip, fruit and some Rice Krispie bars that I just finished making!
Minnesota Weather: High 3 F or 16C Low was -11F or -24C Wind Chills were in the -40's.
Far Side
Sandra Dallas has written some very interesting books. I've enjoyed the ones I've read, but haven't read this one. Safe travels to Fargo on Wednesday. We have to go to Sioux Falls on Wednesday so hopefully Tuesday's snow won't be blowing around. But I'm not optimistic about it being a nice drive.
ReplyDeleteSafe travels to Fargo! Winter driving can be a real pain.
ReplyDeleteI am so with you on books!!!!
ReplyDeleteAt least your very cold, dry snow allows for snow blowing and shoveling. Our wet snow, when we get it, if we get it, is water logged, heavy, and turns to ice.
ReplyDeleteGood luck out there.
I'll be praying for safe travels on Wednesday. We've been very lucky with little to no snow so far but it IS very cold. Not quite as cold as you, but close. I've been home since Friday evening with a doozy of a head cold. Not much sleep because of coughing gets worse at night. Oh well, it's all part of life isn't it?
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
Snow is lovely until it isn't, then you just wish it would go away. DH is wishing for snow so he can get the snow blower going!
ReplyDeleteI sure hope the weather is good for y'all to go to the appointments. Prayers for your safety. I do love the white fluffy stuff, but when it turns brown....I'm ready for it to go away...
ReplyDeleteWe have a winter storm coming our way with maybe 5 to 8 inches each day on Saturday and Sunday! We have had no snow for a couple years, so we shall see but people are already hitting the stores to buy out all the bread, eggs and toilet paper! I love rice krispi bars so that's going on my list!
ReplyDeleteBe careful on your way to your appointments!
Dirty snow takes any joy/beauty the white stuff brings out of the picture!
ReplyDeleteWell, every once in a while we need a good old blizzard but just stay in the house
ReplyDeleteThe weather sounds frightful! The picture gives evidence to the fact. Glad FG dropped you off! You are brave to go.
ReplyDeleteBusy weeks!
