Trail Ride

We finally went for a ride in Ranger Blue.  I have not been for a ride since June 9th.  My time waiting is up ...four months post Laminectomy Surgery!  Yeah me!  I can get in and out of the higher vehicle with no problem.  I thought I might need a step stool but I didn't.  Physical Therapy is going well he says he sees improvement every visit.  So there ya go.  Pain wise...I still have some.   My Doctor says it all takes time.

This was a smoother trail...then we did one a bit rougher for the views.

The Fall color is mostly over. Warmer overnight temperatures in September was not good for beautiful color in my opinion.

We did some woodcarving on the Christmas ornaments and had a nap.  I did odds and ends...stuff that never shows.  For supper we had soft tacos and Far Guy's famous Chili Cheese Dip that I found in the bottom of the deep freeze.

Minnesota Weather: High was 65F or 18C Low was 52F or 11C eh.

  1. I haven't been for a ride in the Ranger down on the farm in ages. It is hard to beat for a way to spend an afternoon!

  2. Our fall colors are in full display, but I know a good windstorm will take them all away. Your weather sounds really pretty perfect. Glad to hear how well you are recovering.

  4. We're just hitting peak fall colour this weekend. But as predicted, it's a little dull due to the lack of rain

  10. It's 49 and raining lightly here this morning. I am having trouble adjusting to the cold.
Back surgery is hard enough when you don't have the complications you have. Sounds like you didn't have spinal fusion. No rods and screws in your back?

    1. No rods or screws...no spinal fusion just the removal of lots of arthritis.

  15. Hooray for four months post-surgery and noticeable improvement! I am so very proud of you for following your recovery instructions and doing your exercises. I do hate it takes longer than we desire to get better though. Your PT person sounds like an encourager.
Thank you for mentioning the work that never shows! It frustrates me, also to have to do some of the regular stuff all the time instead of doing more of the fun stuff - - - - but Praising God for energy and strength to keep going.
