Snowy and blowing

The wind blows everyday and it snows every other day.

Yesterday Sadie plopped down just outside of the patio door to watch the snow or maybe that squirrel who runs along the top of the fence.

Here she is just before she shook that snow off on my slippers and the rug.

Far Guys infusion went as good as can be expected...they wanted to give him an IV of something that he has never had before...he said it is a good thing that he knows what meds he takes...if he were old and confused that might be a problem.

I went to Hobby Lobby and had a good walk around and some paper might have been purchased and a few odds and ends.

  1. Oh, Sadie! I'll bet she just waited until she saw your slippers before shaking off the snow. :-)

  2. Oh my on the infusion! I'm glad he knows what is going on.
Hobby Lobby. Oh yes, I could surely have fun in that place! It has been so long since I went to a craft store.

Love Sadie outside. She is such a doll!

  3. I should live there with all that snow! But I would have to hire people to shovel. LOL! It's going to be 65 here today so I will go fill up the old SUV. I don't miss standing out in the cold and wind filling up the car and loading and unloading groceries. Remember in the old days when you didn't have to get out of your car and they would fill up the gas for you and check your oil? Thank God Far Guy is "on the ball"....don't they check their written orders from the doctor? That's scary!
Glad you "picked up a few things" at Hobby Lobby! Stay warm and watch out for dogs who are covered in snow!

  4. Almost getting the wrong medication is extremely scary. I'm glad he knew what he was supposed to be getting. The wind has been howling here the today and yesterday too. Yesterday we got rain - which is much needed, but today the sun is shining so the wind is just drying up what little moisture we got.

  5. Goodness, you would think by now the infusion center would have the appointment down pat by now. Glad Far Guy was paying attention.

That photo of Sadie with the snow on her head is adorable!

  7. That adorable pup will miss you when you return home!
Hobby Lobby - - - the place where you can have an all day field trip! Love that store!

  8. Pretty cute even if she did get your slippers all snowy! I keep a towel by the door for the critters if they come in all snowy and grab them before they can redistribute said snow.

  9. There’s a similar scene outside my kitchen window this morning. Sadie looks sweet sprinkled with snow flakes.

  10. Yes, it's so important to be aware of your meds and be able to advocate for yourself in encounters with the healthcare system these days.
I do love a good wander around Hobby Lobby-it's probably a good thing for me that we don't have one close by!

  11. Oh, goodness! The wrong infusion medication. Awk! Glad he caught that.
Sadie s just the cutest! Super windy today here. Blizzard conditions it says and I believe them. Glad I don't have to go anywhere today. :)

  13. My Facebook memories are full of snowstorms at this time in previous years, but we are mild and mostly dry here now and I hope it stays that way. Your snow looks so cold, but Sadie seem to enjoy it. Wow, she's cute!

  15. Sadie is so cute and she looks more grown up everyday! Far Guy is smart to keep up with his meds. We have to be responsible for ourselves especially in some situations. I can easily spend time in a Hobby Lobby and you know, sometimes things just jump in my cart!

  16. I always accompanied my parents on all their appointments. I had a notebook and had a page for every visit, treatment or day in the hospital. I would ask doctors, nurses and whoever to spell everything to me so I got it right. But I always spoke in a nice way. I am wondering at what point I need someone to accompany me as a medical secretary, sigh. Oh gosh - those snowy slippers! Too funny.

  22. My gosh...I'm glad far guy knows what meds he takes when they try to give him something new. Yikes! That Sadie is so cute with the snow all over her. You're in a windy, snowy place. We get the snow but not as much wind. Stay warm and cozy inside you guys!

  23. Oh Sadie, you sweetheart. Such a cutie pie. I would love to give her a big hug. :-) I'm sorry about Far Guys medication glitch. They almost operated on me on the WRONG side to remove a breast lump. If I hadn't been awake and heard them and corrected the surgeon just before they knocked me out, who knows what would have happened.
You would think things like infusions, surgeries, etc., would be double checked before they took place, but nope. Scary times.
    Take care and stay warm!
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  25. Snowy Sadie is so cute! She seems to enjoy the snow and cold. I’m sure you are getting pretty tired of it. February always seemed like the longest month Up North to me.

  26. Wish you could send me some of the snow.

Glad Far Guy knows what he's meant to be taking. This is why I like to be sure of what's going on with my health and tests and medication and things.
