I sprung Far Guy from the hospital about noon yesterday. The Doctor said that the course of IV's were completed and he could recoup here at home. Now he has to rest, take his meds and listen to me. HA!
So we continue on. We made one small change and moved his computer downstairs to the Game Room so he could have everything he needs in one area. ( Bedroom, Bathroom, Computer, Exercise Area and Movie Theater) Jen and Andy help me run stuff up and down the stairs. ( I took down his supper while he spoke to his sister and Jen brought the dishes upstairs) They even set him up with a coffee maker (important stuff)!
Little Elvis is just thrilled that he is back home and attended the afternoon nap session.
It is cold and windy here. Far Guy's Infusion is today. I warm up the car before we leave and drop him at the door to the hospital/Infusion Center and he calls me when he is done and is picked up at the door again. I am not sure what else I can do to make that transition warmer for him.
We finished this puzzle a few days ago.
Far Side
I'm glad he is home, I bet that is a relief not to have him in a hospital room. I know the cold is pretty brutal right now. Warming up the car is a big deal in the winter. Do you have a remote? I love having a seat heater too.
ReplyDeleteYou are so caring! He is lucky to have you :)!
I do have a remote but I back it out of the garage to let it run awhile! Back at the home in the woods we would just open the garage door and remote start it. Here there is a doggy door and the garage is attached to the house so I do not let the car run inside the garage. :) Yes we love the heated seats! About -40 with the wind chill here this morning.
DeleteGlad Far Guy is home in his own bed. Home beds feel so good.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear Far Guy is back home. Keeping all of you in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteI've got a fall scene puzzle laid out, though I've not been in the puzzle working mood. Good to hear all are back home & comfy. It's cold here too, though think your colder. -23 this morning. Karen
ReplyDeleteBeautiful puzzle!! Keeping Far Guy in my prayers, hoping he improves each day. Stay warm & safe!!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad he's home. It's never good to be in the hospital, even when there isn't a pandemic going on.
ReplyDeleteSo glad he's home! It's so much better to recover at home if you can
ReplyDeleteThat is really good news. I can just picture that sweet little dog snuggled up to nap with one of his favorite people. It's sure bitter cold again this morning and I don't plan to leave the house. I went out yesterday and again last evening to run errands, and the walk from car to door was miserable at each stop. Hope FG continues to improve.
ReplyDeleteSuch good news that Far Guy is home and where you can take care of him correctly. I think you're doing as much as possible to keep him warm. It's -36 wind chill here this morning too. Taking Zoey outside to potty is an adventure these days.
ReplyDeleteThat puzzle is a beauty. There's something that I love about bright red barns and snow.
Take care and stay as warm as possible.
Blessings,
Betsy
Good to hear that Far guy is home again. You are taking good care of him.
ReplyDeleteFG is being very well taken care of now that he is back in his winter home. His accommodations sound wonderful. Unlucky as he is in health, he is very fortunate to have such a loving family, and YOU, around him.
ReplyDeleteWonderful news to hear that Far Guy is home and recuperating there. It sounds like he has a great set-up.
ReplyDeleteTake care, stay warm!
Sorry you are into the "stupid cold" part of winter. Bet your husband is happy to be home and get pampered! And nothing like doggy snuggles at nap time.
ReplyDeleteThat is good news! Hopefully this frigid cold snap changes soon.
ReplyDeleteGood news! Pretty puzzle. Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure he will feel better at home with you and the family. You have got everything all set up for him so he has all he needs and can be comfortable. Far Guy is lucky to have you looking after him. Keeping you both in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteGreat puzzle. It is so wonderful that your daughter and husband live so close to the hospital and have that wonderful house to share with you this winter. So glad he was released but sorry you had to go out today in this weather. Glad you are both home safely and can work on the new normal. Now lets just keep things calm for a while!
ReplyDeleteThat is good news. Well done adapting to his needs. It is tough.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad he is home again. I hate that he had to get out into this cold. In and out quickly is good like when I go to get the mail.
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty puzzle!! Good news that FG is home and being pampered a bit.
ReplyDeleteExcellent news!
ReplyDeleteSo glad he is home! Being surrounded by those he loves and that love him. It is bitter cold in Iowa too and Amy has "bus duties" outside and little Grayson walks to school. But they are better dressed than back in the day. Jen and Andy are the best! You're in good hands, I think. Both of you! Stay warm and inside. How is Sadie dealing with going outside in that weather?
ReplyDeleteYou are such a good nurse! Glad he is home again .Jen and Andy sure are nice. You all take care.
ReplyDeleteThe whole thing sounds cold. Hope Far Guy enjoys his "Man Cave" for a while.... Sounds like a nice, comfy place to be.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear that far guy is back home again. Sounds like you've got the perfect set up for him downstairs. May he continue to get better with every day. Prayers for all of you!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear/read that he has gone home!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a week it has been for you two. Glad to hear Far Guy is back home, and hopefully responding well to treatments and medication.
ReplyDeleteGlad FG is home, so much more comfortable than hospital. Sounds like your weather is COLD!! Take care and keep yourselves as warm as you can. Mxx
