Far Guy and I went to town, he waited in the vehicle while I went inside the Greenhouse.
I found what I wanted...mostly.
We came home and planted...
Most of the flowers I picked out had no blooms which is just perfect for transplanting.
Red Star Impatiens, a Coral Impatiens, a mix of Impatiens, Salvia Victoria Blue, and some Violas...
The Violas were blooming so happily I couldn't bear to clip their blooms off. I just smile when I see them!
Far Side
Impatiens, Pansies and Violas are my favorite flowers. My garden now is not conducive to flowering plants so I have Hostas in it for now. Love the solar lights around the flower bed.

Violas are such a cheerful little flower! I have 2 flower pots - one on the front porch with geraniums and one on the back deck with a mix of annuals. There are a couple of perennials in our yard as well. I do have a coleus (sp?) to transplant today before it gets too hot.

ReplyDeleteI love your flowers! Can't wait to see them later in the summer too. We went to the greenhouse yesterday afternoon. Not much to choose from after the big weekend, but what we found will be just fine. I have to plant the pots, and husband will plant the tomatoes. Summer is here!
ReplyDeleteViolas and pansies are also so pretty! The first ones I put out in a container were pansies and they are doing beautifully.

ReplyDeleteI have very few memories of my grandmother's farm which was sold before I started kindergarten, (I think). One is my mother hiding the children under beds while my dad and grandfather attempted to shoot woodchucks out the window. The other is a tiered concrete planter along the steps to the back door. The bottom tier was always planted with pink petunias and the top tier was pansies, my favorite. I have zero luck with pansies at my house.

ReplyDeleteI have no doubt that they will be blooming soon. Once they are planted in the ground, transplants take off, especially with you warm temps and long daylight hours.
