I am going to focus on sunny thoughts.
1. My husband is in the kitchen cooking. He will be baking eggs in cupcake cups inside a muffin tin. He says we should call it a cupcake tin. Soon he will ask me for some direction..yup… am I done with the eggs? “Yes.” Next he will ask me how much milk? Nope… he must have guessed. ( He just decided I was cranky.) His Doctor wants him to eat more protein…and eggs are one thing he can add to his diet…I suggested yogurt too.
2. Chance is good for today, he pooped and peed and drank some water and waited for his pill to be wrapped in cheese. Don’t we all wish our pills could be wrapped in something yummy.
3. The phone rang and I didn’t have to answer it. It was BBW asking us to supper…hot dogs and smores. (Baby Brother’s Wife)
4. The weather is lovely… sunny and 70 F…just perfect.
5. I have the potatoes and eggs cooked up for another installment of potato salad.
Well that’s about it for today. Five sunny thoughts…any more would be a stretch of my imagination.
I always enjoy seeing your new headers! Thanks for changing them frequently. I enjoyed seeing the sunflower fields yesterday. I have never seen one! Had never thought about them being raised so was amazed to see fields of them growing.
ReplyDeleteNever heard, either, of baking eggs in muffin tins. I am learning a lot here.
What great sunny thoughts, radiating with happiness and love. Nice of you to share, and warm greetings!
ReplyDeleteLove the bee balm. Bob prefers her pills rolled in peanut butter, Chance. You might like to try one! Sunny and 70 sounds perfect to me, too. I can see why you are having sunny thoughts.
ReplyDeleteYou have the perfect weather! It was 87 yesterday but it seems nice compared to the high 90's we've had. Today is supposed to be 82 so I should get outside and do some work! I notice when I eat eggs in the morning I am really more energetic and fueled for the day! I think I read we need more protein as we age. Glad Chance is doing good. I decided that in coming up stairs, Nitty needs to use the front concrete stairs as opposed to the garage and back which are wooden. She seems to get more traction on the cement. She did not have a problem yesterday....thank goodness! I'm not quite as nice with pills.....I stuff them down their throat and hold their mouth closed until they swallow them! LOL! My girls won't fall for hotdogs or peanut butter or anything like that so I stopped trying. Potato salad sounds good after I finish my macaroni salad which seems to get tastier after a night in the frig! Enjoy your supper at BB's!
ReplyDeleteBaking eggs in a muffin tin....how unique...may have to give that a try. I agree on the weather, we are having 'fall like' weather, which is unusual for us in August, but I love it. Hope you have a nice Saturday and rest of weekend.
ReplyDeleteIt would be good for me to think of some sunny thoughts. I probably won't. I need to take Barney out one more time because he forgets to do something while he is out there. I have concluded that its his eyesight that is more of our problem now. I am sunny thinking about it being Saturday. I try not get into so much trouble over weekends. Baked eggs would be good.
ReplyDeleteLooks like cooler temps are headed this way along with LOTS of wildfire smoke. I look forward to one but not the other.
ReplyDeleteI try to stay out of the way if Larry is baking....sometimes I live to regret it. Glad you are having sunny thoughts! Our sun is drowning in smoke for another day.
ReplyDeleteLove your sunny thoughts. I need those. I have to deal with the step-mom who NEVER has a sunny thought, EVER! It is such a downer to talk to her.
ReplyDeleteLove your flowers at the end... Monardia??
Sometimes you make me laugh out loud!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI hope the sunny thought worked on your cranky--LOL! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's a sunny thought when some one else will do the cooking.
ReplyDeleteI hope we get some cooler weather soon! 70 sounds perfect!
ReplyDeleteLove the new header, especially Chance peering around the tree.
Can Far Guy add some ground flax seed to his baked eggs for a healthy boost?
5 sunny thoughts is a good post! I liked hearing about your husband cooking eggs in a cupcake tin!
ReplyDeleteAny time Dan is in the kitchen...I have to stay close by to answer questions...like where are the spoons?
ReplyDeleteSuch nice perfect weather! And to have it in August must be just amazing. Love the new header, especially the picture of Chance. :-)
ReplyDeleteVery pleasant sunny thoughts!
ReplyDeleteGreek yogurt is an extra good source of protein I find.
Sunny thoughts are always good, regardless of where they come from.
