Spring is suppose to arrive today at 5:28 AM. It isn’t as if you can turn a switch and winter will be gone and spring will be here. If there was such a switch I would have turned it months ago.
Yesterday we walked the back road, it still has snow and ice, my boots got wet, time to give up the snow boots and get out the waterproof ones. We wandered throughout the yard for the first time this winter. There are many many twigs in the yard that will provide good exercise…and just a few steps.
The snow and ice is still at the snowstick. We should have a winner this week….maybe.

I am hopeful that spring is on it’s way. In Minnesota you can never tell…it might be March or it might be June.
I hope spring arrives for you very soon.
ReplyDeleteAt least now spring is on the calendar and hopefully you won't have to wait until June. Be careful on that ice!
ReplyDeleteYou have a skating rink with a stick in it--LOL!
ReplyDeleteSoon...soon...I hear the geese coming back. ;)
Happy first day of Spring! I love your wagon wheel photos. I have one in my garden here in the cities, too. You're so right about spring coming any time between March and June here in MN. I cast my vote for March! I would like to second what Cynthia said about being careful on the ice. It makes my wrist hurt just to look at ice. :-\
ReplyDeleteHappy First Day of Spring. Sure hope it has finally arrived. It is warming up around here and the snow mostly melted. We have so many downed tree branches all over the yard which is still too wet to walk on. Like you said - good exercise. Enjoy today.
ReplyDeleteYep, it's here, by the calendar anyway. Hope somebody wins this week! Our equinox moment passed over us while we slept, at 3:28am. The sun will rise due east all over the world today. :-)
ReplyDeleteSpring may not actually arrive today, but it's starting to tease a bit, which makes me happy.
ReplyDeleteThe melt is almost there!!!!
ReplyDeleteWe have had really wonderful weather and my remaining snow piles out back are now gone. Now the spring winds have arrived so we try to get our crap done outside early. :) Sorry have been away from reading for a while, back to catching up.
ReplyDeleteI think it will be hard to tell in all parts of the country, if it is winter or spring! Looks like the snow is gone for a while.
ReplyDeleteDarn it looks like I won't get the snow stick right. At least I'll be close.
ReplyDeleteIt will probably be on one of those days that didn't get selected. We have a mess of sticks all over the property. I can still see snow in selected areas. I can't believe how things are sprouting.
ReplyDeleteYou have a lovely, big property! We celebrated spring with a snowstorm today - and more forecast for tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteHmm. Well we've had Robins about for a week. And grandchildren on spring break from Arizona...:)
ReplyDeleteIt is finally spring here for sure now and I am soo Happy . Hope Spring shows up there soon . Thanks for sharing , have a good day !
ReplyDeleteWell, as you know, we had our spring in February and have no idea if it will come back at all this year. It was 29 degrees this morning. I enjoyed the parade in your last post!
ReplyDeleteI think we skipped spring and hit on summer. It was 90 yesterday and 88 today!! Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteIt is warming up very s-l-o-w-l-y here in Seattle too. and the rain keeps coing back One sunny day is about all we get at a time.
ReplyDeleteI'll tell you where it is.....here in the Ozark's! It was in the 60's and low 40's which I love and yesterday it got to 87! Ahhhhhh! That is too warm for me! I have to gradually get used to it and of course I wasn't dressed for it....turtle neck and fleece topper with sweats? So, in my mind Spring is over with here and we're going right into Summer....my least favorite season here! I'll be washing screens, getting out some lighter clothing for sure and praying the humidity stays away for awhile.....I am NOT a happy camper except for the bird song....that makes me smile. If you work outside like I do.....87 is too hot! Be careful what you wish for! LOL!
