Melting

Our temperatures are warmer and snow is melting.  We may have a snowstick contest winner in a day or two or three.  A winner will be declared when all the snow/ice/water is gone from the stick and I can see grass.

Snowstick March 16

March 16 just before dark.

The following people have a good chance of winning.

March 17  PM        Marlys
March 18 PM         Wendy Danielson
March 19  PM        Karen

Stay tunned!

Far Guy and I have been woodcarving and finishing up a couple of projects.  Photos will be shared at a later date as they are gifts.

We still have some snow drifts in the yard.  Winter is not over yet but spring is getting closer.   Yesterday we saw several sets of Trumpeter Swans flying around, a herd of deer and about four or five Bald Eagles.

  1. Our snow is slowly melting. Last night we had the frizzle again so roads are slick this AM Robins have been unhappy with the snow. Hopefully by next week I'll be seeing my grass again. Have a great weekend.

  3. Most of the snow has melted in town, except for the deep piles of stuff in shady areas. I'll admit, I'm happy to see bare ground again.

  7. I guess I won't be the winner, but at least your winter is coming to an end. We had one dry day - wow! - and now we are back to rain. But Sunday and Monday, the first day of spring, are supposed to be dry!

  10. Hurray for the end of snow. Mind you, if it's anything like it is here, it could still snow - even in May!
