Chance: I was a Turd

Turns out I was a turd on Saturday.  My best pals were gone to the Zoo and Mason was busy so Anna came to let me out.

I went to the end of the driveway and plopped myself down to wait and wouldn’t move.

Anna had to get her Dad to make me go back into the house.

Someone said “He is getting senile.”  Someone else said “He is a turd dog.”

I may be a senile old turd dog…but I am a loyal one.

  5. A turd dog Chance? Do you know what that means in UK English?? Not very polite.

    Tired perhaps. Turd... surely not?

  8. Awww. Loyal is what I say, Chance. I'd come out and pet you and stay with you for awhile myself if I were there. No turd dog, whatever that is. :-)

  9. Dear Chance, If you look up 'turd" in the dog dictionary, it will tell you that it is an adjective meaning loyal and vigilant. Not your fault someone used the wrong dictionary to describe you!

  19. My goodness sakes you were just missing Far Side and Far Guy, they are turds for saying such a thing about such a goooood boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think you are the sweetest dog anywhere Chance, this is coming from an elderly kitteh cat who plops down in the driveway and won't move for love or money, when the mail lady said I was as fat as a pig and then tried to pet me I scratched her to let her know she was not a lady in my book! My owners who are more like my servants were appalled someone would call me fat and pig, they never saw that mail lady again, the regular gal dropped off treats for me cause she was mighty upset when my owners told her what happened..can you imagine saying such unkind things about me such a beauty and you such a handsome fellar...drats, you are wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  23. I really don't know how they could go anywhere and survive without you. My big dog Barney stays the majority of the day when I am at school laying right next to the door. Button stays in the rocking chair by the door after lunch until I come home. If his mommie goes into the living room and sits on the couch Barney might leave his post to guard her in living room. Button who is the oldest stays by the door to be sure he can great me when I get home. My own kids were never that loyal.

  30. Ahh, you're not a turd....dogs are like little children...they don't know if you're coming back or not and it's scary for you when you don't understand, isn't Chance? You weren't going to be happy until they were back home where they belonged...with you....no matter how long it took.
