Springing Ahead

Wow what a difference a few warm days make.

It gets above freezing and we think it is summer!

Clouds

The clouds were even summerlike!

Eagle soaring

There was a lone Bald Eagle soaring over the fields.

We had a nice Sunday drive…Chance enjoyed the ride.  He is feeling stiff and sore after a round of nonstop ball games with the neighbor kids.

walking through the water

What little snow we had is melting.   Chance doesn’t like walking through the cold water…but it cleans off his feet.

I don’t like springing ahead, I would just like one time or the other all year long.

  1. I am with you, they should stop messing around with the clock, it no longer has any purpose.

Poor Far Chance, over did the ball playing huh? He probably thought it was Spring Training... time for baseball soon!

  2. Beautiful clouds. Glad you guys enjoyed the car ride. Chance, feel better soon.
My pets were off schedule with eating all day Sunday due to the time change!

  4. I am with you about the time. I don't gain anything from it - it just messes with my inner clock. The amount of daylight remains unchanged. If people want more daylight in the summer then leave the clocks ahead all year long. Glad things are melting for you. They are here also. Hope Chance's sore muscles feel better soon.

  5. I wonder if you are done with snow for the year. We are almost halfway through March and reached 61 degrees yesterday! Very strange warm weather without a cloud in the sky. Love your cloud picture. :-)

  6. I am with you - one time all year - this is silly! Hope Chance gets better with his soreness. We have grassy dogs in and out of the house all day too - no mud as we've been so dry!

  7. We too had "summer clouds" In our central MN skies yesterday. Tomorrow we might get up to 60 degrees which is very unusual for this time of the year. The whole week is to be at least 50. We are going to enjoy it.

  8. I'm with you on the time changing, as it always takes me several days to catch up. We had a rainy and chilly day yesterday, so I'm hoping we get a bit of sunshine soon. We do need the rain, so I guess God is in charge, not me!

  9. Glad you got some warmer weather finally! Yes, I'm not a fan of daylight savings, especially coming earlier than it used to. I don't like coming to work in the dark again....

  11. I would like to leave my clocks alone, too. I drive in the dark enough as it is. But the weekend weather was great!

  12. ME TOO! I prefer Daylight saving time year round, but I can live with Rocky Mountain Time...just make it year round and forget it.

You took a good eagle shot...shooting into the air at a moving bird is hard!

  13. I agree with you about the time change. It takes my body a good two weeks to adapt.

Chance will have to get back in shape for the ball chasing season.

  16. We had a warm weekend too. It was great! Chance looks a little tired there. I walk Eli through puddles. It cleans those big dirty feet.

  17. Sun has been shining here also and melting snow causing mud for my dogs to walk through and also BIG puddles. Not to fond of turning clock ahead but like it O K in the fall. Will be very happy to see summer and all the mud and puddles to go away :)

  18. I think most people would rather keep one time. I guess the people who work in the city get a longer evening to take part in outdoor activities.

  19. We are in a melt down to , the sun has been shining every day and temps have been hitting 50F or 10C eh ? I don't mind the time change doesn't seem to affect me . Lovely photos . Thanks for sharing , Have a good day !

  20. I don't do well with springing thing either. I am aching all over and I know it has warmed up outside. Barney can get himself in a real mess if he gets to excited about barking at a passerby. He messes up his hind legs and it takes him a couple of days to recoup.

  21. It always feels like a miracle when the sun comes out and the snows start melting!

  22. I am so with you on the time change thing. I have never ever liked it! Great cloud picture and enjoy the sun!

  23. I don't like the time change either. I think it is a relic and needs to be phased out. I like that saying that it is a dumb idea to cut a foot off the top of something and stitch it to the bottom and think we have made an extra length..or however it goes. It may have been useful a long time ago, but now I think it's time to be rid of it. No snow melt here..just a ton of rain! We have mud, mud, and more mud.
