Wistful Wednesday :1956

Well lets see.. this was almost 55 years ago.

Lorraine made me a cake. The whole gang gathered at the Wilsons.

My Mother took this photo. She must have waited until after Christmas to get rolls of film developed.  This place is just down the road a piece from where we live, we often pass by there on our evening drives.

My friends were there, Janet, Rhonda, Carey ( My baby brother), Me, Corrine, Pam and Roxann. I have not seen Janet in years, or Pam or Roxann either.  I just saw my baby brother the other day..he stopped by to visit a few days.  Rhonda and Corrine I see once in awhile.

I cannot remember what color this dress was..blue or pink or green..maybe purple.  I am certain that my Mother sewed it just for me for my birthday.  It looks like it was a warm September day.

No it is not my birthday yet..but it will occur sometime before the next Wistful Wednesday. ( I will let you know what day I am turning older than dirt.)

I am awaiting a great gift from Far Guy..better than the avocado green electric can opener I got in 1975.  Better than the orange wheelbarrow..maybe even better than the garage door opener I got a few years ago:)

  4. Shhhh, popped in 'cause I thought maybe we shared this day. What a little doll ya are!!!

We moved MIL into assisted livin' Monday and are emptyin' that big old farm house. What a job. I must say it's loaded with rich, rich treasures.

We are just about to chop the sorghum into silage and then harvest the corn. As soon as we wrap the farm stuff up I have to make a trip to Tx. to see my mom but I do think I'm seein' an little light at the end of the tunnel.

The posts are pilin' up in my poor little brain. It could be ugly is it burst and it all came flowin' out at once! Heeehehehee

God bless ya and have a wonderful day sweetie! :o)
