Friends without benefits

Sadie had a dog over for playtime.  Her name was Penny...she was a Bulldog with lots of wrinkles on her face and she sounded funny...all in the snout.  They got along fine for a little while...then they fought over a bone so all bone type chew toys were taken out of the toy basket.  Later in the day they got into it again....in retaliation Penny peed on Sadie's dog bed.  Uffda.

Sadie was missing her bed.

Far Guy and I ventured out to Hobby Lobby and there were dog beds there and one hopped in my cart along with some yarn!

She likes her new bed just fine...I wish it was a darker color but we can cover it with her old dog bed cover as it was washable.

She had to smell it all over and then turn around about six times and settled down with a sigh.

Then she had a long nap!

Minnesota weather: High 30F or -1C Low was 26F or -3C  Mostly cloudy day.

Supper: Pizza using the Pillsbury pizza crust topped with Italian sausage, pepperoni and cheese.

  1. Dogs and their beds! I washed the bedding in our Yorkie’s crate earlier this week and she wasn’t impressed at all!

  2. Poor Sadie! That is a rude guest. Glad you could get her a new clean dog bed.

  3. There is no Hobby Lobby near me so I'm not familiar with their current offerings but I wouldn't have expected to find a dog bed there. Good that they had one just when you needed one and better that it was accepted right away. Happy you are warming up because we have a bad cold wave on the way to where I live in New York. Not again!

  5. Poor Sadie. How amazing that dogs take it out on each other in these ways. Our pups peed on our bed when they were very young. It was in the RV and the bed was low enough on one side that they could get up. We had gone out and left them. Forever after, they were kenneled! I love how Sadie showed her appreciation of the stowaway bed!

  11. Poor Sadie. The injustice of it all. Peeing on her bed. I know she loves her Grandma for getting her a new one.
We had 57F today!!! It felt like summertime. I just wore a light sweater outside and it was almost too much. :-)
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy

  14. LD....I lived in an apartment where the dog downstairs thought our upstairs apartment was where she should pee. I didn't like that dog ever.
