Beans

The beans must be really good...this doe stayed right there in the field and watched us as we drove by.

She was loving those beans.

  2. Nice! Our beans look like they have been starved...which they have been. In most spots you can see bare ground.

Those fields in the valley that get the dew moisture are doing better.

I saw a lot of deer last night while riding.

  3. Nice tender leaves - probably a gourmet lunch for her.

  4. I don't know why I don't know that deer eat soy beans. Of course they do. They eat everything else!

  6. Oh deer. Well, it's a big field. Maybe a few plants won't be missed.

  7. That deer knows a good thing when she sees it and it would take more than a car driving by to scare her off.

  8. We have two rabbits in our yard that do the same. They seem indifferent to our being around.

  10. Those must be Fava Beans? I saw my first field of them here last summer. They plant them as a rotational crop after canola.

  11. Shirley, Some kind of edible beans...planted after a corn crop. :)

  12. I love beans too...just not soy beans. They always say farmers feed America but
all the farmers around me only grew soy beans and field corn...neither of which I eat!
