Oh boy, our oldest Grand is 27 years old today.  Hopefully we will take her to lunch one day soon and take her photo.

I scanned a couple of old photos. These were taken the day of her baptism in early August of 1996.

Front row: Trica ( Savannah's Mom), Jen with Savannah, Far Guy's Mom, my Mom and my Dad.
Back row: Far Guy, Me and Dick ( Savannah's Dad)

Savannah was lots of firsts!  She was Trica and Dicks first daughter, our first Granddaughter, and our parents first Great Grandchild, and Jens first niece.

Proof that I really was there.  We took off on vacation soon after she was born and returned the day before the baptism...we had been camping out West.

 Happy Birthday Savannah!!

  2. I admire how well you have kept up with your pictures. 1996 doesn't seem as long ago as Savannah is old but the math says it is. Both of your girls are beautiful! I hope everyone enjoys the celebration(s)!!!

  7. Twenty-seven years??? It's seems Y2K was just a year or two ago! That's crazy! Those are great photos. You can barely see you peeking out in the top one. :-) I love that everyone is there and in the photo.
    Blessings and love,

  13. I discovered your blog this evening while searching for the history of Ponsford. My husband and I had the pleasure of caring for our son-in-law's parents' cabin on Big Sand Lake while his dad was at Mayo for Chemo. We went on a trip to Ponsford one afternoon, to check out the town where my husband's grandfather was a physician for the Indian Health Service. We chatted with a man who lives in the town and learned a bit about the town. He mentioned that a book, Ponsfordian, was published in the 70's. After we left, my husband said, "I think I have that book." Today he found it and we discovered that it was published in 1930. It says that my husband's grandfather, Ira Roadman was a physician in Ponsford from 1919 and was still there in 1930. It was interesting to learn that Ponsford was a thriving town back in the day.
