I made a little progress on my Winter Wonderland Mosaic crochet... the white and rose are very bright. I am not sure I like it...it will be flanked by the burgundy and teal again. That might make it look better. I might frog it...the cream color in the reindeer looks dirty compared to the white.
Then my yarn order came...so I began on the front border of my Nordic Mosaic...I may be done by the end of the week...maybe.
We had a quiet day on Sunday. I worked on 2018 in the Grands photo albums. Pizza was supper.
Far Side
You may be right about the white and cream - they do look very different. But I sure like the design itself.
ReplyDeleteYay, pizza!
ReplyDeleteThe Burgundy and teal borders may make all the difference. You really are good at this.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind the contrast of the cream and white. It might be different in person, but I think it looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteAs Sandra said, you are really good with this crochet style.
Yes. I like the muted color of the cream rather than the stark white. But then it's your opinion that counts. Ultimately we must please ourselves in our creations.
ReplyDeleteThe burgundy and teal might tone down the white, but it looks great regardless. What a project! Pizza sounds so good. :)
ReplyDeleteI like the sound of “yarn order”. I always buy in store. I bet ordering is better.
ReplyDeleteI think your Winter Wonderland Mosaic is looking so beautiful. and wow, you're almost done with the Nordic. Can't wait to see that beauty too. You are so talented, Connie. Hope the pizza was good!
ReplyDeleteThe burgundy and blue does make a good way to move on down to the more subdued deer. I am amazed at all the patterns and how they are created with a crochet hook. My mom only did doilies so this seems highly technical.
ReplyDeleteI think it looks great but can also see where you might not be happy with the contrast. I'm working on my very first project that uses a chart. I detest charts but it's the Christmas stocking the kids in London picked out. It also has colorwork, but only red & white. I'm going to try and I hope it turns out. I figure if I start them now, I may have the three finished by fall when we go for their "big" wedding.
ReplyDeleteWe ordered pizza for Saturday night and had the leftovers after church yesterday. Yum!
Blessings and love,
Betsy
I like it!
ReplyDeleteI think it's beautiful as is! I wouldn't change a thing.
