We got our first Christmas card in the mail. Someone is more on the ball than me! Ours will go out in the mail today. I wrote the Christmas letter so it is not nearly as entertaining as my husbands versions.
Card from Nebraska!
We had another quiet day, I did a few small projects. Nothing earth shattering.
I did some laundry, washed some decorative glassware in the kitchen, crocheted until I fell asleep sitting up and then had a nap until my other baby brother and she who sees robins first stopped by to check on us.
Far Side
Nice card! I've been trying to figure out how many or what kind of cards I was going to do. I'm terrible at cards. I was better at doing them while I worked night shifts as a security guard. I could sit out at 2am in the guard house and write notes and cards with no disturbances!

Goodness! They must have mailed before Thanksgiving! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's a nice feeling to have loved ones check on you.
Nothing wrong with quiet days like that. And it seems early to me to be sending out Christmas cards, but what the heck, better early than not at all (like me).
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you got the card. I was trying to get them out early this year to get our new address out to friends. Dennis writes so much better letters than I do and I appreciate having that taken off of me.
ReplyDeleteOur days have been chock full of being at Mandy's from dawn until way after dark playing with the baby and visiting.
Blessings,
Betsy
I haven't sent out cards for a few years, but will send a couple this year. The company I worked for when I left high school is shutting down. I had sent a message to the daughter of the couple who owned it and heard back from her. She mentioned how much her mom enjoyed receiving my Christmas letters and has even kept a few so if no one else gets a card, Bonnie will get one for certain.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
That reminds me! I've got to get my cards ready to go out this week!
ReplyDeleteTis’ the season. I better get busy and prepare my card list.
ReplyDeleteWe've received our first one too - on Saturday. One of my former coworkers must mail them every year on Wednesday before Thanksgiving, because it always arrives right after turkey day. I'm not that well organized. I was hoping to get some good pictures with the grandkids on Thanksgiving to use on a card, but the boys just kept making goofy faces. And we didn't get any good ones of just the 2 of us on our trip either.
ReplyDeleteSounds like the perfect Sunday - - or any other day of the week!
ReplyDeleteWe have decided not to do a photo card this year, the first time in many years. We will just send a Christmas letter. and a short one at that (I hope. Sometimes I have trouble editing myself.)
ReplyDeleteI have not received any yet and I haven't sent any out. I need to get going! I have a few other projects to get done before Christmas too. It sounds like you had a nice day.
ReplyDeleteI've gotten three Christmas cards as of today. I love getting them and hope to get many more!
ReplyDeleteMy cards are ready to go but I'm waiting until the 1st to mail them. I don't know why I decided to wait until it was December. Haven't received any yet either.
ReplyDeleteWe had snow and freezing rain last night. Not a nice combination.
Oh, boy! First Christmas card has arrived at your house and mine are still in pieces. Your Thanksgiving table looked lovely and so did your turkey.
ReplyDeleteWhen we had the derecho our property was destroyed with so many trees and branches down. A couple, our neighbor girl when young, came and spent two days clearing our property. They said the were doing it for free as I had just had my stroke. Anyway, I sent them a lot of money in the mail and we now get a Holiday card from then each year the day after T-Day. They had two boys and another boy from apparently another marriage has been added, all out of high school.
