Happy Summer

The other night we took out Ranger Blue and sat in our old driveway and watched the storm roll in.

Rain and some wind.   It was entertaining.

When it was so hot I worked on putting together some cards.  I have many of the watercolor/stamps all colored. (last winter I colored many while keeping an eye on Sadie)  I just need to trim them to size and audition mat colors and envelopes and assemble them.   I finished about 25 cards and there are still more that I could do.

Far Guy has all the blanks cut out for the woodcarved Christmas Ornaments.  He has begun carving.

It was cooler and windy yesterday after the storms...temperatures were only 77 F or 25 C for a high, but we are headed back up to hot again soon.

  2. I have always been a bit envious of those farmstead I drive by where they can literally see for miles in every direction. I think I would spend all summer long sitting on the porch and watching storms blow in. My house though is surrounded by trees and by the time I see the storm coming, I have minutes before it arrives.

  9. Those cards are just beautiful. You are so very talented.

Watching storms roll in is one of my favorite summer activities. Living in the city, it isn't quite as dramatic, but my sunroom is a great place to enjoy a thunderstorm.

  12. Beautiful cards. I don't have a creative outlet, I suppose cooking and baking bread could be called that, but your's is prettier! We may live in the same state but our landscapes are different. I don't have the panoramic view you do, mine is trees and hills, so a storm rolling in has a different quality.

  14. It's been so hot here but storms are supposed to roll in tomorrow night and lower temps to the. 80's for at least a few days. I hope that's true.
Your cards are all so pretty. You have so much talent in making them. I tried once and it looked like a five year old it.:-)
How exciting to have the Christmas ornaments in process. I always love to see the new one each year and treasure the ones I've received from you.
    Blessings and hugs,

Watching an approaching storm is something I love to do too ( although it's harder when you live in town).

  18. Your cards are beautiful! I especially love the one with the flowers in the glass jar. I always get excited when you start talking about the Christmas Ornaments! Enjoy that cool weather while you have it. We have a couple of days of cooler weather in the 80s but it's going back up to the upper 90s after that. Well, it is summer!

  25. Hobby Lobby is putting out November stuff and I see Christmas shelves are being prepare. I guess Christmas things are suppose to be out by the fourth of July. Good for Far Guy to getting all those things carved. I saw many stuffed soft gnomes today that reminded me of someone's ornament.
