Red Art

This is a sculpture called Vision 1.

I am not so sure I like it...I do like the color...it was bright and cheerful.

We had a quiet Sunday, for entertainment we watched Andy shovel snow, we got about an inch of snow.  Andy made a smoked bbq chicken for supper, I added baked potato, green beans and broccoli....it was all wonderful!

  1. We have snow this morning. A quiet Sunday sounds nice.

  2. It looks like what I'd use for a superhero logo....Just missing the superhero.
We had boring leftover chili last night.
But, quiet and boring is okay too.

  3. It looks like a red S to me, kind of pretty. :-)

  4. I like the color too, though it's a bit abstract for me. (Hence why I liked the hands so much).

More snow expected here overnight. I'm soooo very tired of winter and it's only mid-January.

  5. The red sculpture made me think of a logo, and felt it needed a company name somewhere to finish it off. Interesting shape.

  6. The rock should not be used for the base. A black box would be better. Cooking together is fun and makes it all easier for everyone.

  7. The photo of Chance with the shiny brite tree is so wonderful.

  8. I find myself looking at modern art like that and thinking, I could have made that. I have come to the conclusion that what makes an artist isn't necessarily just skill but mostly having vision.

  10. Quiet days are good but sometimes I get really bored... and when I get really bored, I get depressed. I hope your new week is a good one, Connie. ~Andrea xoxoxo

  11. It is bright and I do like red but it makes me wonder what it stands for--LOL!
How nice to have someone else dealing with the snow. :)

  12. The sculpture has a pleasing shape. I assume that's the purpose.
The fog here has finally lifted and the sun is shining through broken clouds. It has warmed up to 45!

  13. A little strange maybe, but nice splash of red.

  14. I don't love it, I don't hate it. Kids were off school today which was nice since we got 5". Just enough to make them go out and help shovel the neighborhood with grampa. If we lived 3 counties over, they got between 18"-23" and I would have lost some in a drift. Boy, Andy shovels snow and bbq's chicken! What a keeper.

  15. I had heard that most of the snow bypassed MN this time. Lucky you! We weren't so lucky but didn't get as much as we could have so I'm not complaining. Dennis snowblowed up and down both sides of the hill which the neighbors all seemed to appreciate.
I can't say that I care for that sculpture. Modern art doesn't do much for me but the red IS cheerful!
I remember going to an art museum in Paris where they had a toilet seat on the wall of that fancy schmansy museum. It was considered "art". What!? A plain old toilet seat.
    Blessings,
    Betsy
