Mosaic Crochet and a health report

I finally finished Winter Wonderland Part One.

The back is nearly as pretty as the front.  This project has about six parts.  I have put it away for now and am concentrating on my previous Mosaic Crochet Project since I am on Part Six of that one!  It would be fun to have a finish by the end of the month!

Part Five finish and onto Part Six!

In other news Far Guy saw his Doctor, she said his recovery will take a long time and his lungs are much worse than last summer.   So it is one day at a time with a very slow recovery.  We are taking very good care of him.

  2. I love both your crochet projects. Sorry to hear that Far Guy's recovery will take longer than expected. He is very lucky to have such wonderful "care-givers".

  3. That mosaic crochet looks very difficult. It is a good distraction from all else as I’m sure you have to concentrate deeply.

  4. Shoot, I keep hoping Far Guy will get some better news. I hope he's able to prove his doctor wrong.

The mosaic crochet is gorgeous. I can't even fathom how it's done...I'll stick to my simple projects.

  5. Hopefully that recovery will continue steadily, even if slowly. Your color work on these projects is just beautiful. Great job!!

  6. Congratulations on getting that project finished. Hope you can get the other one finished soon too. It will be nice to have those crossed off your project list, and to be able to look at them with pride knowing you did them.

I'm glad Far Guy has you guys to take such good care of him.

  7. I do hope he is able to improve without further set backs.
The mosaic pattern is incredible. I had no idea that crochet could be patterned!

  8. I can't even begin to fathom the concentration that the mosaic crochet must take. It's probably good for you to have something to concentrate on isn't it?
I'm sorry that you didn't get better news from the doctor. But maybe Far Guy will prove them all wrong and recover fully. God is a God of miracles.
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy

  9. Very pretty crochet work. I'm sure it helps to have a project like that to keep you in your "be" mode while you care for your husband. Keeping him in my prayers.

  10. The mosaic crochets are just amazing!
Sorry there was not better news at the doctor's. Patience is tested when the improvements are slow, small ones. I can relate. Don't let it get you down. *love and hugs*

  12. I'm so glad you are with your daughter so the long drive isn't something you have to do now, with Far Guy. I love your work. You are multi-talented!

  13. Your mosaic crochet work is absolutely awesome, and that's putting it mildly in my estimation. I'm a crocheter, mostly fine thread and tiny hooks. I'm 82, but even as a young woman I doubt I'd have had the patience to do what you're doing. I'm impressed. I'd love to see them finished. I'm so sorry about your husband, may the Lord be with all of you.

  16. Your mosaic crochets are beautiful. Don’t your eyes get tired looking at the pattern? I used to do counted cross stitch, similar patterns to read, but I can’t anymore. Not the best news but I hope all your good care will hurry Far
    Guy’s healing along.

That Mosaic crochet is magic, it has to be. The all colored one is so "happy".

  20. I'm sure you're taking good care of far guy. How sad that his lungs are much worse than last summer...is it because of what they did at the hospital last year, that didn't work out well for him? Will keep him in my prayers for sure. I love your Winter Wonderland project and also the Mosaic. You are so talented! I love seeing all that you're working on. Take good care, all of you.

  21. Very cool project! We have a friend knitting us up a cat sweater. I sometimes think knitting would be fun, but I have so many hobbies already.

  23. I'm not sure if my first comment went through. Just wanted to say how much I like the design with the different 'stripes'.

  24. The mosaic crochet you do is simply gorgeous! Far Guy is fortunate to have you taking such good care of him. One day at a time is the best anyone can do. I'm keeping him in my prayers.

  25. Both of the pieces are outstanding. I can't imagine how you keep track of the patterns. I bet the valves being removed really is giving his lungs a chance to heal back.

  28. Unfortunately, the older we get the longer it takes us to heal. I pray for him every day and you too...as the caretaker! I love your Wintertime blanket and the colors you chose. I will refer back to your picture to see if I am doing mine right. I am hoping to get back to it this week. Then I want to do your first one...it is gorgeous!
I want you to p ick out the colors as you do such a great job of it.
