Last September I took some photos at The Red Bridge Park in Park Rapids. It is always interesting to see what "art" is displayed.
This one is titled "Hand Painter"
Do you see the brush? Me either...art? I do like the hair flying in the wind.
Far Guy and I put another infusion day behind us, just one stick this week and the gals are now getting hot packs on the veins before they try. Slow learners.
Grocery adventures are non existent...since I mask up and go in and get groceries...this week the cold remedy aisle was full of people trying to make do with the small supply that was there.
Far Guy is better than he was last week so he is making progress in the right direction.
We are in a Winter Storm Warning for the next couple of days....we have no place to go and can just stay put.
Far Side
Interesting piece of artwork; I don't see any paint brush. Glad Far Guy is doing better. Empty store shelves are really beginning to bug me as I hate to substitute. Stay healthy, safe and warm.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad he's improving. It is difficult having an ill spouse. JB is a hypochondriac, never had kids and every little ouchie is an emergency! (Sorry, venting!)
ReplyDeleteI heard about the storm. Sand deal, here. Hunker down and hope for the best.
My wife's clinic is being inundated with people who are walking in thinking they have seasonal allergies or a cold and being sent back home with positive Covid results. This Omicron variant is really presenting itself much different than the other variants.
ReplyDeleteI think it's interesting even if a bit strange. I like the "hair" too. And great news that FG is going in the right direction. :-)
ReplyDeleteI heard it's going to be bad, Connie. I'm glad you & Far Guy are all set with groceries & can stay put. ~Andrea xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteThat's all good news- hunker down and stay safe and warm.
ReplyDeleteWe're in a winter weather advisory for the same storm. The freezing rain is falling now. It's a toss up as to how much snow will come afterwards. 3 or 10 inches?
ReplyDeleteI'm glad it was just one stick for Far Guy. I guess it's a learning curve for all.
I went to the store for us and Mom. Even after the shortages of the past few months, I was shocked to see how empty the shelves were.
Stay warm and dry.
Blessings,
Betsy
That's a very interesting sculpture. I'm trying to imagine how hard it would be to keep the rocks in place while the wiring is done to hold them.
ReplyDeleteGood news on progress there with FG, and instore shopping.
We're in a storm watch for the weekend too. Glad FG only had one stick and that he's a bit better. I haven't noticed any real grocery shortages around here but I have noticed the rising prices! Have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteThat art is way to far out for me!
ReplyDeleteI like the hair too. I'm so glad to pop in and hear that Far Guy is doing better. You two bundle up and stay warm this weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love the art. I guess it’s a statue.
ReplyDeleteYay for the one stick! And glad you can stay indoors for a week. We have more than tripled our highest number of cases in a day here. Of course, they are blaming "testing". We are so overwhelmed that our governor sent the National Guard who are assisting the local hospital in doing a drive thru testing everyday. Well, if those tests weren't positive, we wouldn't have cases. I dont' think we can blame the tests. (shaking my head). Since we have no mask mandates, the only time we sneak out is to get bread and milk as soon as the store opens when there aren't' many customers. Luckily the pantry is stocked and our beef quarter should be ready this week.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you can stay put if a winter storm comes your way. Glad to hear far guy is doing a bit better...praying that continues! That is a strange piece of art in the park! Stay warm and inside you guys! Glad it was only 1 stick again this week!
ReplyDeleteI'm watcing all the weather alerts for down south, where all 3 of my siblings are this weekend. My brother drove over to Alabama from NC yesterday, so he's safe with my other brother, and my sister lives nearby. He says if it gets bad he just won't drive home on Monday and will wait it out. It's such a luxury to be able to do that. It's one of the joys of retirement. But now I see they're saying it will be 40 below zero in New England???
ReplyDeleteStaying put is a good thing in bad weather. It was nasty here yesterday and I just saw the town plow go by up on the ridge. Our trace of snow became about 4 inches which is just fine.
ReplyDeleteGood on the infusion and well the stores? I haven't been for a bit and have to go next week so I'll see what they have and don't have.
I like that artwork actually. It is neat. At least you can get the impression of thought and movement from it!
I love the hair, too. Doesn't look like a brush in the hand, though.
ReplyDeleteGlad FarGuy is doing better and that you can hunker down and stay home for a while. :)
Interesting art, not sure what I think of it.
ReplyDeleteI like that sculpture a lot and glad to hear FG is heading in the right direction. Covid numbers here are outrageous and we are back to ordering groceries on line for pickup and getting … garbage or nothing at all. How can a grocery store be out of things like carrots and celery. Also anything out of the ordinary, yet listed as in stock on the ordering page — well, I think the shoppers are just too lazy to look for it. Well, now that I’ve gotten that off my chest … hahaha. Stay warm.
ReplyDeleteSo glad the nurses are getting "the knack of it"...finally. Too many sticks can ruin the veins you have. I hope they are using syringes and not vacutainers. Vacutainers have a vacuum and can collapse a vein if it's not a very good one.
ReplyDeleteYou're brave going in the store! My neighbor does all the time but I know if I did it, I would catch covid...of course, she doesn't have immune diseases either.
