Good Buddies

Chance and Miss Miney were good buddies...they kinda grew up together, each visiting the other...having a safe spot to visit if someone had to be gone from home.

Both lived a good long life...but they are still missed.   I am convinced that you never "get over" the loss.

I put Miss Miney's memorial necklace next to Chance's battery operated candle...somehow it seems right.  I will return the necklace to Jen soon...but until then...

  2. I totally agree. Some pets we have are so special that we never really get over their loss. Thank goodness we do still have more love to go around, though. :)

  3. I agree that we never really get over the loss of our dear companions, just learn to live with the loss. That's a wonderful picture of the two of them.

  4. Yes - they sure leave a big old hole in our hearts when they are gone. It has been just a year since Sammy died. I still look for him occasionally in his favorite napping spots.

  6. I thoroughly agree with you, Connie... the loss of some animals, like some people, never leaves us. What a wonderful thing to be missed that much, eh? Still praying for Far Guy~ Andrea xoxoxo

  8. I agree! Every cat and dog I’ve ever had took a piece of my heart with them when they left and I still recall the precious memories of each one. Though their time is short, what a blessing their little lives are to us. I love the photo of Chance and Miss Miney.

  10. We still miss our three fur-family-members and it's been eight years since the last one's been gone. Just like human family members, they never leave our hearts. Love and hugs to you guys! ❤️

  13. I totally agree, we never get over the loss of our fury friends and companion, our beloved Jack has been gone over three yrs., I miss him so much, and haven't brought myself to find another!
I have been trying to catch up on reading blogs today, and read some of your previous posts,! Praying for a speeding recovery for Far Guy, and strength for the journey for both of you!

It seems we both have been busy cleaning closets and trying to purge, usually i don't let go so easily, but for some reason this year was easy! Your fake fur reminded me of one of mine I had in the past, they were fake but boy, how warm they were.
Thank you for stopping by and for your sweet comment.
    Blessings,
    Sue

  17. Love that photo and the necklace next to it. A day to remember our beautiful pets from the past. I have many good memories of mine too. Sometimes a picture of one will pop up on my computer screen and catch my heart! Hey, How is Far Guy doing today? Hopefully he will feel better with every day.

  19. Our last two dogs will be our last to have. I don't want to go through loss ever again. Our son came to visit and he just lost his second dog days before he visited.

  20. I will never get over Nitty and Annie....we were together 24/7 for 14 years and I miss them every day. Sometimes I hear them bark. They've woken me up in the night!
The candle with Chance's picture and the necklace are precious.
