Yellow

The Rudbeckia is blooming.  This plant had interesting petals.

I like yellow flowers the best, they are so cheerful...everyone needs a bit of cheerfulness in their life.

    Huffman Prairie where the Wright Brothers did their flying experiments is full of beautiful flowers, yellow and red and purple and white. Huffman Prairie is near Dayton, Ohio.

    I am getting the best volunteer sunflowers this summer. Usually they are small and spindly with tiny blooms, but three have had big blooms and even some blooms down the stalks this year. Very cheerful yellows :-).

    The heat has taken out my yellow buttercups. I have a few yellows left now but the coneflowers are taking over. It is funny how flowers put out unusual growth patterns

    I love it! I had heard of Rudbeckia but had never seen one. It almost looks like an over ambitious sunflower - just had to add a few extra petals in the middle.

    I don't think I've ever seen one before. Thanks for the photo. My favorite spring/summer flower is a yellow daisy. They seem so happy and cheerful.

    That's a very interesting Rudbeckia. I wonder, is it supposed to have the petals like that? Or is this an accidental?
