Bambi

We still have a Bambi eating acorns in our yard.

eating acorns

A very long time ago we took our oldest daughter Trica to the movie Bambi…she cried.  A few months later my Dad wanted to take my sister and Trica to a movie…Bambi was playing at the theater in town.  Of course Trica wanted to go…I reminded her that the movie had some sad parts….she said fine, I have already seen it and I promise not to cry.  Her Grandfather (my Dad) reported that during the sad part she began to cry…so she sat in his lap, hid her face in his shoulder and sobbed.

  1. I've never seen the movie Bambi...and this is why.

  2. Bambi was a hard movie for kids to watch--also Old Yeller. I remember we went to the drive-in as a family and my little sister, who mom and dad thought would be asleep by that time because she was only three, bawling her eyes out when he had to shoot Ol Lello.

  3. This is a great capture. The most wildlife that is this cute is another small bunny running around in my backyard trying to stay away from my garden hose. I guess he could be called Thumper.

  6. I love your pretty Bambi. I also cried during the movie and won't see it again for that reason. Old ladies should not cry like that, right? :-)

  7. My son won't let his kids watch Bambi because he knows very well how much crying will go on...and on.. I myself watched and enjoyed it. Can't remember if I cried but I think not.

  8. You caught a great shot of Bambi. She has a curious look in in her eye, contemplating the human with the camera I guess. We skipped the movie. I knew my daughter would hate it because of the sad part so we passed it up.

  11. I took our daughter when she was just a very little girl. She cried, I cried. Every time we saw it I cried. I have refused to watch it for a very long time because I wouldn’t still cry every time. Great picture. It’s beautiful.

  13. Acorns! Our mules like acorns too and apparently cattle like them also. We have to make sure they don't eat too many! Love it that you could take such a wonderful photo!
