Yeah me!! The kitchen is all done…well except for the window, too cold to wash a window now.
No more dusting off dishes before you use them.
I am not sure which spring cleaning direction I will go next…laundry room or bathroom. I may take a few days off…we have busy days coming up next week.
We still have enough snow, here is a view of some pretty “stuff” on the windowsill in the kitchen. I have a hard time passing up paperweights and the pretty pink bird is one of my favorites and perfect for spring. The stained glass Lady Slipper was purchased at a garage sale.
11 inches of snow is at the snowstick. The trees are starting to become little islands of no snow. Spring progress is slow.
I agree that the little pink bird and the glass lady slipper are beautiful. And I will second that cheer for all your hard work. Looks great! :-)
ReplyDeleteKitchen done--whoohoo!! You deserve a little break. ;)
ReplyDeletePositively perfect windowsill knick-knacks for you.
Your collections are so pretty
ReplyDeleteLove your kitchen-it's so pretty!
ReplyDeleteYour collection of blue glass, pottery, and loons on the open shelves is lovely!
ReplyDeleteYour blue dishes look so pretty on those open shelves! Dust accumulates so quickly, we could never have dishes out like that unless we were using all of them, all the time. Well apparently we only got an inch of rain yesterday, but if you think, in snow, that would have been about 10 inches! Glad that there are some signs of the snow leaving.
ReplyDeleteI really like the design of the open shelves with the blue dishes. We bought the blue dishes for salad plates that would go with one set of our dishes. It didn’t have salad plates. I am not beginning to spring clean but I am subtly moving and cleaning things to make it look better here and there. I hope you have a few very hot days and that stuff can go running down the rivers.
ReplyDeleteBig storms here yesterday, and today it is cold with an icy wind blowing. I do not understand this weather! I like your shelves and the blue plates. The view through your window is pretty too, even though you are probably very tired of the snow, it is still pretty to look at.
ReplyDeleteThat shelf looks so nice and clean and pretty. I love the dishes. It's hard to imagine having that much snow on the ground. I think spring may finally be here to stay. I've spend an entire day washing the greenhouse, inside and out. Even the biting bugs are out...the ones you can't see! Guess they've been waiting for spring too.
ReplyDeleteYour blue dishes are so pretty. You even have a blue mixer! All that snow still and you are running out of names on the snowstick contest!
ReplyDeleteYou inspired me to start some Spring cleaning too. My desk drawers are so full of 'stuff'. Stuff I won't ever need unless I give it away.
ReplyDeleteWe had plus 10 C today but still have most of our snow.
ReplyDeleteYour kitchen looks beautiful and those blue dishes are a 'show stopper'! I love your sweet decorations on your window sill....I miss window sills....Pella windows with no sills but still enough where it has to be dusted. Good for you with the cleaning. I need those long winters for cleaning because the outside is already getting away from me and the inside is not nearly done! LOL! Congrats!
