We saw another bear, I did not get a photo…it was at a dead run…for big animals they can run really fast. Way faster than me. Chance missed it because he was snoozing. Far Guy and I shout almost in unison A bear…a bad word bear. It is our second bear sighting for this year. Since that one was in our yard at our window we always wonder when we are outside…what we will do if another one shows up in the yard….besides the obvious…messy drawers situation with much swearing.
I saw something on Facebook that fits us to a tee. “Relationships are just two people constantly asking each other what they want to eat, until one of them dies.” At our house sometimes it goes like this “What do you want for supper?” “I don’t know, what do you want?” “ No fair I asked you first!” Then there is the big who is cooking question…I have learned if I am napping I can skip my turn. Yesiree that is about as wild and crazy as we get around here.
Good Morning, A bear! I've been warned that there have been sightings here on our "hill." You and Gene sound like us. Even if we go out to eat, it's "where do you want to go?" We are a wild and crazy bunch! lol
ReplyDeleteThat whole conversation sounds magical to me. The other member of our team has been perfecting his ignorance of cooking for 46 years.
ReplyDeleteHa! You two are funny! Another bear sighting, though, that is really interesting. Love your pretty fawn. :-)
ReplyDeleteI have the same conversation only it is with myself! LOL! I love bears and I saw one here once. Black bears are here but there's so many woods you rarely see them. Plus, I have my early warning system...the girls! LOL!
ReplyDeleteBear...we've had a year of bear here also. Makes me wonder what the winter will be. It also makes me wonder why we are having so many bear...usually they stay in the canyons.
ReplyDeleteLinda
Keep an empty pop can with pebbles inside within reach so that if you do see one when you're outside you can rattle it to scare it off. That was what a forest ranger in Glacier National Park told us to bring with us and shake periodically when we went walking on the hiking trails because there had been a bear attack in the campground the week before we had arrived. My dad never stopped shaking that can the entire hike--LOL!
ReplyDeleteLOL because you just described us. Although who is going to do the cooking never comes up. Unless it's a he-man grill, the cook is me. We've had a bear wandering in our neighborhood lately so I'm extra careful when I take Lucy for the last time. Especially now that it's dark at 9:00.
ReplyDeleteLOL! Oh how I remember asking "what do you want for supper" questions. And then still having to decide. Same thing when we ate out "where do you want to go?" I don't care Where do you want to go. Yikes to seeing a bear in your yard!!
ReplyDeleteWow, cool about the bear sighting, even if it was a little scary.
ReplyDeleteGreat definition of relationships! Hey, if napping worked for skipping a turn, I would sleep, too!
ReplyDeleteLOL 1 good lord you two sound just like us nut bars , minus the bears we don't get bears this far south in Ontario . Thanks for sharing , have a good weekend !
ReplyDeleteDeciding what to make for meals is a perennial problem for me and, I suspect, for all of us. I like to plan at least a few meals ahead of time so when I do the weekly shopping I can buy what I'll need.
ReplyDeleteI'd be paranoid if I lived where bear were see roaming about, esp. this time of the year when they're trying to fatten up for winter.
The same discussion goes on around our place about what to eat. Our appetites have diminished.
ReplyDeleteOK, I'm laughing.
ReplyDeleteI occasionally give Tom a choice, but mostly I just cook what I want to. He's good with that. And then he does the dishes.
