I finally got the Christmas Flag down and the Valentine’s Day Flag up.
Then again everyday might be valentines day around here…we already passed the card aisle in Wallyworld and I said we should look at the cards now while the selection is good. Better yet… together we gazed down the chocolate aisle!
I spent one morning working on taxes and can go no further until all the W-2’s are here. I kept the shredder going for a good long time. I will be glad when it can be taken to the accountant.
It rained some more and the snow at the snowstick is shrinking.
See all the leaves and twigs? That is from the gale force winds we had for a few days.
I gave Chance a bit of a trim…feet and in between the pads of his feet. Trimmed his nails too…he really doesn’t like it but I felt he was a little ouchy. Sometimes he even refuses to play ball…and since he is not running like he used to his nails are growing. He is having a hard time going up and down the stairs, his hind legs just don’t want to cooperate sometimes.
I like your Valentine flag. I've been looking for a mini Valentine flag. Your February header sure is pretty. We were at Walmart last night looking at all the Valentine candy - just looking! ha I need to get all our tax info together, also. I always dread that. I'm sorry about Chance's legs. I know how he has always loved to play ball. This is a beautiful photo of Chance.
ReplyDeleteBrooke is driving to north GA today to visit her sheltie puppies. She will finally be able to bring them home on Feb. 9. We introduced Theo to our vet yesterday. She believes he is Cairn Terrier mix. He is in great health - just a little left-over ear infection from his time in the animal shelter. I wish you guys a nice weekend.
Your new header is so pretty! Poppy and I used to look at the cards and pick out one for each other to read...that way we didn't have to buy it. It all started as a joke. Now he is never with me when I shop. Chance is a beautiful dog and doesn't look his age.
ReplyDeleteIf you're lucky enough to love someone, every day IS Valentine's Day! Poor Chance. I think he wore out his knees chasing balls. You three have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteChance is a very lovely dog. You must be so sad about his legs.
ReplyDeleteIt's so hard watching our pet family age...especially if you can't do much for them. Love the idea of different flags.
ReplyDeleteArthritis is painful, and I'm sure Chance is feeling it this winter.
ReplyDeleteWaiting for W2s here, too.
I thought for a moment you said "grazed" down the chocolate isle...that's what I would do!
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed weekend.
I love your new header.
ReplyDeleteI feel for Chance. And his family.
We lost our 19 year old cat last May. It was hard watching him age. In spite of getting a new kitten last summer, I miss him every day. I don't think I'll ever have a relationship like that again. I love all my pets, but he was my heart.
Poor Chance - our border collie Bear is having an extremely hard time with his hind legs. He stumbles a lot. We have to give him "doggy ibuprofen" to keep him pain free. Older dogs are certainly a challenge.
ReplyDeleteI thought you said grazed, too--so you know where I stand on chocolate. LOL! Hard to believe it is almost February!
ReplyDeletePoor Chance. The years do march on...but it is so hard to watch our pets aging. Just got to love'em up even more. :)
Oh, poor Chance! Getting old is hard to do.

Pretty header ! Oh chocolate YUMMY ! Poor Chance age is catching up to him this August Miggs will be 7 and considered a senior dog she already has a few stiff and achenes in her shoulders and hips especially in the damp cold so she gets a dose of a hip and joint pill every day . I cant believe this is the last weekend of January already wow it went fast thank goodness though I soo want spring and lighter longer days ! Thanks for sharing , have a good weekend !
ReplyDeleteThe stash of chocolate I bought on sale after Christmas is about gone. I'll have to wait until after Valentines Day to replenish my supply. I have the chocolate in a box, with a good solid lid, high on a shelf ,in an out-of-the-way spot. That is why there is at least a few bits left.
ReplyDeleteMy old dog seems to move better with Deramaxx from our vet- you might try that for Chance. Sure enjoy your blog!
ReplyDeleteOh taxes! Yes it's coming up. I do all of my tax...not accountant for this boy.
ReplyDeleteValentine's Day already? I'd better get going....as usual! Poor Chance....same as Nitty...she has hip problems and has a hard time getting up when she's been sitting for along time. Thanks, Kansas Kay (that's my middle name btw, Kay) for the tip about Deramaxx. I'm going to ask. Yes, taxes...I think I'm going to do my own for the first time in my life. The worst they can do is throw me in jail and would that be so bad? Meds paid for, good health care, no maintenance...Just say'in.
ReplyDeleteYour winter is just not holding up the reputation of Minnesnowda.
ReplyDeleteThe photo of Chance on your header kind of says it all.
I'll hopefully have everything I need by the middle of this week to file my taxes with TurboTax.
Goodness- you are really getting the snow. Nothing here but warm weather and I have no idea where winter got off to, but it seems to be visiting up north and forgetting about us. I can't believe January is almost over- time is sure flying by.
ReplyDeleteI feel for Chance.
ReplyDeleteI agree, every day is Valentine's Day.
Hope you are both doing well. Have a blessed Sunday.
This is no time for rain! Thought you guys had winter until fourth of July! ;)
ReplyDeleteI used to buy shiny brite at yard sales when I lived in Pennsylvania all the time I had a store and then would resell them in my store and also on eBay at the time this was back in the late nineties early 2000 when eBay was good I love shiny brite
ReplyDeleteThe Valentine flag is a shock. I guess it is just now February but I lost January somewhere.
