In Town

One day we headed to town, I was feeling better and it was good to get out.  We visited my parents, I had been staying away from them because of my cold/crud.  We had coffee and Chance got more than a few cookies…no wonder he starts to drool as soon as he sees their house.

I had a Wallyworld list…and guess what I saw in the parking lot…proof that six idiots had visited the store.  Far Guy said “take a picture”  so I did.
Shopping carts
Yes, it had snowed and the lines denoting the parking spots could not be seen…but really there is a sign plain as day.  Doesn’t Wallyworld have video cameras?   Certainly someone saw all the carts taking up a handicapped spot?

It takes a lot of nerve to just leave your cart in the regular parking lot.  It must take people with partial lobotomies or voluminous testicles to push a cart into a handicapped spot.

  1. Glad you felt like getting out for a while - it's good for the spirits. Don't get me started on folks disrespecting handicapped parking spots. As mom's driver all those years, I have seen it all. One day a young, fit lady going to the gym could not find a parking place, so she took the handicapped spot! And MANY times, the UPS truck would pull up behind the handicapped spaces, stop and go in to make deliveries, leaving mom and me blocked in. Getting off my soapbox now!

  2. Quick thinking, taking that picture...we would never have believed it (not!). We have all been privy to that kind of stupid behavior, but glad you recorded it!

  3. Sigh. Some people only think of themselves. They are probably too fat and unhealthy to put their cart where it belongs. Sending them a boo and a hiss.

  4. Glad you got to see your folks. All it takes is one inconsiderate lazy sod and the lobotomized sheep follow the leader. How sad! But--glad you got out when you felt better. Hope you're both doing well...and Chance, too. :)

  5. Aw, and the folks who need the handicap parking probably aren't in the position to push the carts to the cart corral either. Aside from that, carts find a way to roll across parking lots and dent cars.

  6. People that are too lazy to return their shopping cry to the cart corral are one of my great pet peeves. Glad you got out and hope you both are on the mend.

  7. And they drive, too. Be very scared!

  8. The same thing happens here, and it makes me angry. It would only take a few seconds to push the cart into a cart corral. Our society has become very self-centered and downright lazy.

  9. So some people are not half as smart as they think they are. Yes a photo of some idiot putting cart in handicapped parking may be what it takes to prevent such lunacy.

  10. I saw a man push a cart from half across the lot, it cashed into the cart corral and banged into a car. I took the man's license plate down and turned it into the store. They said they would do something if the car owner complained.

    Come on...people!!!

  11. Definitely a pet peeve of mine. If you have enough energy to shop you have enough to walk the cart to the proper spot for it! I mean geez if nothing else, park next to one of the cart collector spots!

  12. Have you ever seen the pictures of people that shop at Wallyworld?
Some guy puts them on internet.I am sure it was those people that put the carts there. Glad you are both feeling better.

  13. They do get creative, not. They sometimes just leave them right in the area that they had parked. They think some lower person than them should take it away.

  14. Walmart leaves so many areas for carts...in fact there is one right in the background of your picture. So sad that people are so self-centered and inconsiderate....unless it was handicapped people that left them there?

  15. That kind of behavior galls me too. After putting my grocery cart in the proper place this morning, I also fetched one that had been left in the middle of a parking spot and put it away too. And I silently scolded the whoever as I did it.

  16. That makes me so cross - especially as a handi-capable person just wouldn't be able to move the trolleys out of the way!

  17. Nothing like a trip to Wallyworld to get your blood boiling. I move carts that are left in parking places to where they belong and think to myself, I'm probably older than the idiot who left it here...but I'm getting the exercise they needed.

  18. I think 'Sam I am' might have the answer. The people using the handicapped spot left them there. Do you have to put money in to get a cart? Many places here require a quarter or a looney (dollar coin) to retrieve a cart from the row. So to get your money back you have to return it to the storage area so that you can click it into another cart to retrieve your money. Sure helps to keep the parking lot cart free! But still would make someone using the handicapped spot walk a bit farther to return their cart. I think Walmart's carts are still 'free' though.
