We had a nice walk through the woods after Far Guy cleaned out all the birdhouses. Four Bluebirds made nests in boxes the rest were just filled with twigs from Sparrows or Swallows.
We enjoyed what is probably our last day of 55 F or 12 C eh! and sunshine! The last few days have been a gift! We sat outside and soaked up the sunshine. More often that not we get one nice weekend for deer hunting not two.
I walked through the wild gardens. We mow everything down…other than that it gets no care…what survives…survives.
On the edge of the gardens I found the seed heads of an Aster.
We are supposed to get rain this week and possibly snow toward the end of the week. I suppose it is about time to get some of the white stuff which may or may not be a gift.
Glad you had great weather for the weekend, too. I wish I could just hit 'repeat' and skip the snowy driving. It was really a gift, though. You're so right about that.
ReplyDeleteYour pictures have a soft appealing feeling. I especially love the asters, but really I love both of them. :-)
ReplyDeleteI am happy you had some nice weather. Our weekend was beautiful here. Now we are going to get rain, wind and cold.. Love your pictures.
ReplyDeleteIt's looking like winter up your way. I was looking back at Chance's last post, the picture of him standing in the path. Not a leaf in sight. I wish our trees would go ahead and drop ALL their leaves. You know what they are waiting for...me, to get the yard raked clean. Glad you've had another nice day before real winter sets in. Henny
ReplyDeleteI agree, the Fall weather has been gorgeous! I could handle this until February.
ReplyDeleteSnowing here...I think we by-passed late fall. Corn harvest really needs dry weather. :(

Rain for us by the end of the week way up north of Ontario will be snow . Lovely photos , Thanks for sharing , have a good day !
ReplyDeleteYour yard looks so nice and neat and I see green in the grass still. Glad you had this nice Fall. It's raining here pretty steady but I watch the radar so if there's a clearing I can let the girls out. I'm cleaning...still...probably forever. Tomorrow we might be in for severe...they always say that and then nothing but I just keep the weather radio on and then I can forget about it unless it goes off.
ReplyDeleteThat's what we did this week-end a walk in a Botanic garden. We are not looking for snow yet, just lots of cold rain.
ReplyDeleteIt does look like it's heading towards winter in your pictures. We've cooled down, but definitely no snow in our future.
ReplyDeleteIt rains here now.
ReplyDeleteSounds like the perfect kind of day.
We'll take every nice day we can get. As long as there's nice weather we can always find jobs outside.
ReplyDeleteI like that photo of the fluffy seed heads. I saw some Asters in the park this morning but they were all dried up and brown.
ReplyDeleteGlad you got some unexpected sunshine! I'd sure consider that a gift, this time of year. Around here, though, we are just thankful for the rain we are getting--definitely a gift for us right now.
ReplyDeleteIt was a gorgeous day. :)
