New Neighbor

Got a new neighbor over on the Carsonville Property.  The flags went up to mark the spot and a small vase was left.  Not sure who it is…or what their dash was like.

I am just guessing that their dash was very short.

A perfect square cut out of the sod surrounds the little angel vase.  The earth has hardly been disturbed.

No chance we will meet this new neighbor this side of heaven.

  1. How sad! That's a sweet marker for whomever lies beneath, but no name?

  2. What a sweet marker - Seems like it was left for a child . Very sad.

  3. A pretty marker to let whoever is still above the ground know where to visit. A very quiet neighbor, I'd say.

  4. No matter how short the dash, this little angel was loved.

  5. Maybe this is the resting place of a beloved pet? So mysterious.

  6. This brings up memories of my fil who had all these plans to line us all up in a row. The lots are from a closed alley so we really are all lined up. He won't know what we do. I am good with that. I do know we were required to match the stone colors of the great grandparents.stones because he told me so. I kept thinking it would be nice to put a statue of him up next to the road in traffic director's clothing waving his arms back and forth with a whistle in his mouth.

  10. I was confused at first. But it must be a grave? Is that a family cemetery? It is a very sad picture.

  11. Like Henny Penny I am not sure if this is in a cemetery or a field? An unmarked grave?

  12. Guess you will have to wait awhile before you find out. One thing is for sure an angel will be watching :)

  13. In the big cemetery adjoining the old Home Place on the coast, that's the type of small plot which contains ashes, for the costs are much smaller..
