Flags and Fields

I finally got the flags changed yesterday.

Changed the flags

As you can see the snow is mostly gone.

We went for a ride to see what was happening in the neighboring fields.

Swans and Canada Geese

Trumpeter Swans and Canada Geese were foraging for food.  Chance was polite and just watched them.  They honked at us but kept feeding.

Today we are supposed to be near 70 F or 21 C eh!

  1. I love your new flag. We have been watching a live feed of the Bald Eagle nest at nearby Berry College this weekend. Fascinating! So happy you are enjoying a warm up. Have a nice Sunday.

  3. At this point I'm as fascinated by clear, non-snowy ground as I would be by green fields filled with flowers!
    Enjoy those temps!

  4. We here in central MN are also forecast to have 70 today. Unbelievable for March. But we'll take it.

  5. We have sunshine and 60's makes me want to get out and rake the hulls out from under the feeder like you did, but it is still way to wet after 3 days of rain.

  9. I saw your comment at DJan’s and thought how very sensible you sound.
Then I looked at your profile and saw that we seem to have a lot of preferences in common.

And now I see that you go out and enjoy nature.

    Perfect.

  11. Good to hear the temperature's rising in your part of the world. You seem to have more than your fair share of the snow this winter.

  12. Seventy seems too warm a day for Minnesota at this time of year. You are almost caught up to us, out in sunny California!

  13. Glorious Sunday here in The cities, too! Did you get to the 70's. I didn't pay attention. I just spent most of the day out and about. Pretty flag. so my question is does the wind wrap your flag around the horizontal pole? I have an angled flag pole and I am forever unwrapping the flag when the wind wraps it tight. I even have the kind of pole that is not supposed to do that. Just curious.

    1. Yes sometimes if the wind is blowing really hard it wraps around the pole. I have one of those poles that isn't supposed to do that ...but it still does:)
