The Marsh Marigold/Cowslips are blooming. They are native plants that bloom early in the spring.
They are found along streams or in marshy wet areas. They are one of the signs that winter is finally behind us.
I caught a bad cold, what is worse I have lost my voice. I can whisper…no one can hear me..well except for Chance ..he has really good hearing. I went to work with half a voice yesterday and came home with no voice. Far Guy can fill in for me at the museum if need be. He is all trained in and ready to rock and roll. I made him part of my contract this year so that I can occasionally have a day off:)
You let Far Guy pull out your nose hairs. They filter cold germs... hence you got a cold. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. All kidding aside, hope you feel better real soon, and I hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you got a cold, Connie. They seem so innocuous until we get them ourselves... I hope you're feeling better by Mother's Day. Nice marsh marigolds, your favorite color, too.
ReplyDeleteThe native flowers are so pretty. I love seeing spots of color, here and there.
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon.
Hope your cold takes a hike soon. Getting one at this time of the year just doesn't seem right:( You might not have a voice, but luckily for us readers your fingers are still working. Good idea getting Far Guy signed on!
ReplyDeleteThe same cold is flying around here. It heads for the throat and shuts down the voice. I don't want this one as I caught all the others during the winter. It can't help to work in the cooler of a museum. Far Guy can field all the complaints from those who like to do those things continually. Drink a lot of hot coffee or tea.
ReplyDeleteBooger bite...a stinkin' cold!!! I'm so happy ya included Far Guy in your contract...'could come in handy in more ways than one!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful 'Cowslips'...can't say I've ever seen 'em before?
God bless ya and take care of yourself so ya can have a magnificent Mother's Day sweetie!!!
Hugs and prayers comin' your way..................
Lovely photo . Hope you get better soon. Have a good day !
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to try growing these. I see them at the greenhouse and in magazines but I doubt they'd survive the winter.
ReplyDeleteLove the photo and hope your cold hits the road real soon. I am giggling at your very first comment about the nose hair filters!
ReplyDeleteGo and get yourself some rest, and don't pass the germs on...lol.
ReplyDeleteAt least he can help you out, you know I think they work you too hard there.

I bet those are pretty when they are in abundance! So, nice of Far Guy to help out when needed. Hopefully you feel better and get your voice back soon!
ReplyDeleteOH dear - rest and sip honey tea and get lots of pampering. Get well soon!
ReplyDeletei was interested to hear that Minnesota's marsh marigolds are blooming now. Ohio and Minnesota have many of the same wild flowers but the months they bloom in are different. I think the marsh marigolds in our area bloomed in March. Now the waterleafs are blooming.
ReplyDeleteThe cowslips are beautiful. I don't know that I've ever seen them before. Mother Nature does such a beautiful job of landscaping! Why we ever think we could do better is beyond me. Sure hope you get your voice back and feel better! It's great that Far Guy can fill in when you need it. Smart thinking!
