Chance: Visitors

Hey!  Chance the blogging Border Collie here.  Yeah!! My turn..finally.

I had some visitors this week.  Brooke came by to play.  She kicked the ball a few times for me, she wouldn’t pick up my ball.  She didn’t like my ball, it might have been a little slobbery, but that’s okay I still liked her a lot! I like all kids..especially when they play ball.

Chance and Brooke

She petted me real nice..Brooke is 2 1/2 years old.  She came over with her Grandpa.

Then some of the girls came..just to visit and go to Bingo and to play Hockey with me.

Playing Hockey with Jen and Dad

Just Jen ( my sister) and Miney came..they left all the boys and Little Elvis at home.  Miney likes to play Hockey too!

Miney has the ball

I am a real gentleman and let Miney get the ball..sometimes.  Isn’t she beautiful?  She is a Shetland Sheepdog or a Sheltie.  She is my very best friend.

EXCEPT..WHEN…

Miney is tired

She takes the ball and goes and lays down in the snow bank because she is tired:)

  1. Oh Chance, you are definitely the most gorgeous of dogs, but when I look at Miney, my heart skips a beat. I'll bet yours does, too... :-)

  2. Yes, Chance...I can see why you like her! I had collies growing up and loved them all but I always wanted a border collie because they are VERY smart! I bet you are too! I have a Rottweiler (she's a sweetie, really and it's so sad because she loves people and children but they're afraid of her just because of who she is...I try to explain it to her but I know sometimes it makes her sad that people judge her based on a few bad apples). Her name is Serenity but I call her Nitty. Then a few years ago I found a little miniature dachsund laying by the side of the road, half dead. It was hot...REALLY hot that day and she was skinny and de-hydrated and just about gone but I nursed her back to health and now she's part of our little family too. You sure are popular there with all your friends...canine and human.
That Brooke sure likes you too. Wish we didn't live so far apart as I know Nitty would love to play with you guys! Annie, the dachsund, not so much, as she doesn't like getting run over! LOL! Glad you had so much fun with your friends. Maybe you and Nitty and Orphan Annie could be penpals or would that be pawpals? Have a great day and watch those paws don't get too cold out there.

  6. Shelties are beautiful and smart, too. No wonder you like her. What a great time, except for ball stealing rest times. ;)

  8. Chance, you devil- you really have a way with the girls. They love you - you're such a charmer. Miney is so beautiful!! She looks really tall for a Sheltie. Typical guy, you probably go for those leggy type girls. I enjoyed seeing all your photos. (Tell Far Side I left a reply to her comment)

  10. Hi Chance, Looks like you have had a fun time! Miney is so pretty. I saw a very petite sheltie at the vet last week. She was almost as short as Harriet!

  13. Chance, that girl just isn't in as good as shape as you are. She must nap more than you do. It is nice you have great friends and that they are willing to play with you. Barney likes to just lay down in the snow too. I think he enjoys the cold as he gets too warm in the house.
