Well what do you think? Can I wear my wool socks with my crocs out of the house or not? They are not as warm as my sheep lined boots, but on these warmer days when our temperatures are above 20 degrees, they might be a treat for my feet. They feel pretty good, the wool socks aren't too scratchy. Gosh I miss the comfort that Crocs give my feet. Do you think that the socks are too matchy matchy with the red crocs?
I only have one pair of crocs, I am not one of those shoe whores. I get a pair of shoes I like and I wear them out, I get value out of my shoes.
I love my crocs, I miss them in the winter, I long to put them on and walk right through mud puddles. Last summer when we went to the Headwaters of the Mississippi, I just walked right in the water..refreshing. If my crocs get muddy I just hose them off, or walk through Chances pool. Mud and water you can walk through are four months away. I should just stop thinking of Spring.
My friend Sue in Indiana says she loves the way her tired feet go away when she wears crocs. She also admires the funny looking spotted feet she has when she takes them off.
Should I go shopping and splurge on another pair? I am thinking Lime Green or Orange. Or should I just look for different color wool socks? :)
I like how well the red on the socks matches the red of the crocs! I'd just be worried that you might end up with wet socks which wouldn't be comfortable.
ReplyDeleteFashion wise, I personally think you've stepped away from fashion and into practicality as soon as you're wearing plastic shoes - that's not a criticism, I'm always one to choose comfort over fashion!!
Lovely and I vote for lime green next time! Your post reminds me of when I was little (4 or 5 yrs. old); mama would make me wear white anklet socks with my sandals and all my friends would roar with laughter! Funny, nowdays I wear cotton socks with everything! Fashion is a thing of the past for me!
ReplyDeleteFar Side - your feet look lovely! I don't like Crocs - but your feet look good in them! I say buy another lime green pair AND a pair of matching woolly socks... You're worth it!
ReplyDeleteI gather you can even get Crocs with fleece lining (some of the kids at school have them) - and even fleece-lined Croc boots!
Always good for a different perspective, and a good giggle. I think lime green would be wonderful. They don't make them in my size, 6 foot one inch tall people. Actually I am a size 9.5 but there never are any left when they go on sale. And I am too cheap to buy them at full price, cause I ain't no shoe whore either. Giggle!!!!!
ReplyDeletePS love the socks!
Jen
Hmmm! Why not....I couldn't go out in them crocs..They look great on others , but look funnny on my feet.
ReplyDeleteBe liberated Connie and go out in them if you wish..
Julia ♥
You are feeling better I see!!! I have one pair (navy blue) that I wear all summer and can even wear them to work if I wear my navy scrubs. They are comfortable.
ReplyDeleteAnd I don't think you need the Blogging For Dummies book as much as I do. You seem to be doing just fine.
ReplyDeleteThey look great! If you want another color go for it.
ReplyDeleteOh, I'd go for new socks if you MUST. I wear my shoes until they fall off and apart too! I hate to "break in" new ones. My crocs are brite yellow! I figured that way I could find them when I kick them off somewhere when my feet prefer to be ala natural!
ReplyDeleteI love my crocs, even my fake crocs. I got a pair of fleece lined crocs for Christmas, and I have worn them several times this winter, but we don't have snow on the ground at this time. I don't think they would be fun in melting snow.
ReplyDeleteThe question:
ReplyDelete"Can we wear my wool socks with my crocs out of the house"
The Answer:
YES WE CAN
bwaaaa ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha haa
I say go with what works for you....fashionistas be gone!!! Love your crocs! :)
ReplyDeleteI used to wear socks with my Birkenstocks, so I'm not sure you want to take my input, but for what it's worth, I think it's a great look!
ReplyDeleteI truly believe you are a trendy fashion setter! Off with snow boots and on with the crocs! You go girl.
ReplyDeleteSince you asked, I think you should buy another pair of Crocs. For backup, you know. Every once in a while I find a pair of everyday sandals that I love. Comfort is first with me. I never think to buy another pair of the same ones and when they wear out I have to search all over again for the perfect ones.
ReplyDeleteThe answer is NO! Only because of experience. I wore my Crocs (with warm socks) to the grocery store one day. Did you know that snow can sneak in those little holes? When I complained to my son about my cold, wet feet, he said, "What did you expect? Those shoes are full of holes."
ReplyDeleteWhile I am normally not a fan of socks and shoes like Crocs...I am also of the mind to wear what you like. Bright colored socks would help...be bold :)
ReplyDeleteI wear crocs ALL THE TIME! I have three tumors in my left foot and one in the right foot, makes for some really tired and hard walking. Sometimes my toes do not even work...Ugh!
ReplyDeleteBUT my poditrist told me to wear CROCS. One of the best shoes ever made, the conform to the person's weight, foot and ankle. He recommend them.
SOOOOOOOOOOOO I have two pair of Mary Jane's one in black and one in gray, two pairs of flip-flops all in black and I weart them EVERY WHERE.
I can walk without a cane, I can walk so people don't know I can't walk very good, and I haven't had to have surgery yet! (Which will permantly cripple me)
So go for WHATEVER your little likes, they are the best shoe out there for feet!

When Crocs first started appearing on women's feet years ago, I thought they were awesome and such a smart idea. And now I say if they're comfortable and you want to wear them, then go for it.
ReplyDeleteI love my black crocs. The problem is, in the summer my feet sweat when I wear them and it's not comfortable. So, I wear them with socks in the winter when it's dry. I think you should buy more Crocs. You like them a lot and they're a good value.
