Paige, Cole and Savannah came by to help us out with some yard work and some housekeeping. So we are caught up again for awhile. We had a really nice visit with them all and sweet Rosie. Rosie is Cole and Paige's Dachshund.
In the evening we went to the neighbors get together a pork feed and a barn dance. It was great food and fun to watch the little kids playing ball. We got to see a few people that we hardly ever get to see. It was quite windy and we left early. I am sure the younger crowd will carry on!
Aubrey is at her Grandparents and I will visit her one day soon...she needs a bit of time to rest and recover a bit after her surgery.
Far Guy pulled Tilly out of her garage and washed her white walls...they look perfect again.
Minnesota weather: High 82F or 28C Low was 59F or 15C We need rain...the small farmers that cannot afford irrigation will be SOL if it doesn't rain soon.
The pollen is heavy outside. The Oaks are full of what we call danglies...but are technically Catkins.

A barn get together sounds fun... We go to these things and also leave early to let the young set enjoy themselves.
ReplyDeleteI know you had a fun time!

You had a Great day! Grandchildren are wonderful and especially so when they bless us with their helping hands. We. had our grandsons here this past week to clean on top of places where we don't need to climb any more. They are scheduled to help wash windows this next week. We are so very, very thankful. It is a huge blessing and gift from God to get to visit with people we have not seen in a while.
ReplyDeleteWhen the oak dangles come here everything turns yellow.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are finding things to do and FG too.
Sending well wishes to Aubrey.
Sounds like summer is in full swing there. What a special time of the year.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it fabulous having grands and family to come help. Barn Dance...how exciting and it's always nice to see friends you haven't seen in a while. Connie...I love that much like me, you blog about your family... The best topics of all. hugs to you
ReplyDelete"pork feed" LOL...that sounds just great for everyone heart health.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that the Oak flowerlets/danglies were called catkins! We just consider it a mess since we have a lot of oaks around!
ReplyDeleteYour grands are terrific young people. Nice to have the help.
ReplyDeleteThe event at the neighbours sounds like fun especially visiting with people you've not seen in some time.
SPRING IS SPRINGING FOR YOU!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's always good to get out and mix with people.
ReplyDeleteHelp with various jobs that need doing in the yard is so appreciated!!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a wonderful day. I'm so glad your grands are so helpful to the two of you and the barn food/dance sounds like a lot of fun. We're still in the Black Hills and had a doozy of a storm last night with more rain expected throughout the day today. Everyone is very happy around here because it was high fire danger so early in the year. I'm guessing we had at least an inch of rain last night. I hope you get some soon for the farmers.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
Glad to hear you are getting out and about and that family are taking care of you.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, pollen. I think we are just about through with all of those seasons. Grass pollen and cottonwood fluff are still a plague.
