Wild

We have a little action on our security cameras.  Mainly a rabbit that hops back and forth, a kitty with white paws, squirrels and deer eating acorns.

My other baby brother has more wildlife than we do.  He has deer, fox, rabbits, turkeys, coyote and a bobcat.

nice sized bobcat in the daytime

Thursday: My baby brother was mulching leaves in our yard when we got home. The leaves are about 50% down. I appreciate him mulching for us!   It is a dirty dusty job.  My other baby brother delivered our mail!

Friday I went with Far Guy to his Infusion.  His respiratory infection is not any better, I am keeping a close eye on him.  We picked up our grocery order from Walmart and came home.  My baby brother, his bride, Baxter and Smudge visited in the afternoon...they picked tomatoes for me.

I am still putting "stuff" away.  We both had a short nap.  I made hamburger gravy with mashed potatoes for supper.

Minnesota weather; High 86F or 30C Low was 64F or 18C. There is lots of dust in the air from the bean harvest in the nearby fields.

  1. I know it feels good to be home.Glad you have brothers to help. I’ll have to mulch leaves too. All the mulch blows everywhere. Ours are not falling yet, but our weather matches yours. This will be a summer you’re always remember!

  8. That sounds like such a full few days — busy, but with so many little blessings tucked in between. 💛 I love how your security cameras catch all that wildlife; the bobcat must have been amazing to see! I hope Far Guy starts feeling better soon. Hamburger gravy with mashed potatoes sounds like the perfect comforting meal after a dusty, warm day.

  9. I'm surprised at how warm your daytime temps are.
Years ago when we lived in rural Manitoba I came around the garage ( a totally separate building a little distance from the house) to dump something on the compost pile. I came face to face with a bobcat ( who took off, thankfully.)

  12. It's so good that you have family nearby to help you when you are struggling health wise.
    That's a lot of wildlife!

  13. Our security cameras do not find anything as interesting as a bobcat! We mostly get squirrels, raccoons, skunks and neighbors cats. We did see the new renters next door are using my newly painted picket fence as a backdrop for baby pictures.
I am praying that this respiratory infection clears up quickly.

  17. How exciting to see that on the camera. We barely even see the raccoons that hang about here. Maybe I should get a wildlife cam to see who comes through the yard when we're sleeping
