I saw my Dentist. I have a very old 20 plus years old crown that needs to be replaced. It was falling apart and driving my tongue crazy...and every time I sneezed it scraped the inside of my mouth. He sawed it off and I will return next week for a new crown...if I outlive that one they can pull the stupid tooth.
And so it goes. Far Guy and I are feeling better. Hopefully we will keep improving.
Trica made Moons Over My Hammy for supper. She brought eggs from her chickens that have just started laying eggs...she is getting 3 to 5 eggs a day. In my opinion brown eggs are the best.

That's great news that the crown lasted that long. I had one that lasted a few years, and then we finally changed dentists. No problems since then either. Glad to hear everyone is doing well.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are both feeling better.
ReplyDeleteI love brown eggs too. Glad you’ll be able to get the new crown! You’ll be a Queen wearing your crown!
ReplyDeleteThat reminds me to stop by my egg lady's house to see if she has any eggs I can get! I've been making a veggie stir fry to drop on rice and then toss in an egg and cook it to the rest of the stuff for protein.
ReplyDeleteJust got done catching up on what I haven't looked at since last week.
So nice to see a comment from you...just someone else fixing my breakfast sounds wonderful. A lot of people like brown eggs the best. They are sure higher priced around here. It sounds like you guys have been unwell...I hope you recover completely soon.
ReplyDeleteWe buy all our eggs from a local chicken hobby farmer. Fresh brown eggs just can't be beat!
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain. I am doing the second step of having an old crown replaced today. Silly me, thought crowns lasted forever.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are both feeling better! I agree, brown eggs are best. We have our first frost advisory tonight :))
Sounds like a decent day. Any trip to the dentist is a bit scary. Glad yours went well.
ReplyDeleteOh...those dreaded dentist appointments. I had one yesterday as well, but thankfully I got a great report on my teeth. Isn't it something how a tooth can drive you nuts when it's rubbing on your tongue? In our area, crowns are so expensive though. I do love brown eggs and the guy that mows our yard brings me fresh eggs each week..what a blessing this is. Glad y'all are feeling better...
ReplyDeleteThose brown eggs look awesome! One of our guild members used to bring fresh eggs each month to sell at a ridiculous low price. She hasn't been coming to meeting all summer as her garden - and chickens - have kept her hopping. Those fresh eggs are the best! Glad you both are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteI can hear the optimism in your voice regarding the health of both of you! Once again, I commend Tricia for being there to cook. It makes a difference to be able to rest and then have delicious food you did not have to use your energy to cook. You have wonderful daughters. It is definitely easier when they can "tag team" to help give you an occasional assist and get the opportunity to love you a bit extra.
ReplyDeleteYou got two beautiful gifts from God when they were born - - beautiful inside and out.
My sister did that for me way back in 2000 when my mom moved from NYS to here in Cleveland and was on dialysis. She came from Augusta GA about every three weeks for the weekend.
We've been 38* for several mornings now. I'm picking up my hoses and putting away my summer stuff. The heat is gone!
ReplyDeleteI still have a gold crown that is at least 30 years old. They last forever, but gold is too expensive to use now.
ReplyDeleteJust catching up, had family over for a few days so didn't get around to reading blogs. So good to know that FG's cancer is gone! Thank you Jesus. Now to just stay healthy and not get any more of those seasonal bugs. Good to see that your family is pitching in to help out. Bet it's nice to not have to do the cooking!
ReplyDeleteI am dealing with dentist issues, two crown replacements, and I have to go back this morning because one is too high and causing pain. Then I'll have to see if I might just need a root canal instead. I hate dental issues.
ReplyDeleteAt least it will be taken care of and won't scrape your mouth anymore.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are both feeling better and better.
Yes, brown eggs are the best! :)
Those eggs look fabulous. I have a gold crown that I had put on when I was in 4th grade. Now let me do some math. Sixty years ago. Good Lord. I was swimming at the city pool and a boy dove into the crowded pool and came up under my chin, cracking my first permanent molar. I absolutely hated my "gold tooth". Now I guess I have a smaller smile and don't see it.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're both feeling better.
ReplyDeleteI really like eggs
ReplyDeleteI don't mind dental treatment but I hate the more complicated stuff like crowns and root canals.
ReplyDeleteGoodness, that's a good amount of time for a crown. I do hope the next one lasts as well.
ReplyDeleteI had to look up Moons over my Hammy. I've never heard of it, but it sounds good! I'm sure it is especially good with fresh farm eggs.
You both take care!
ReplyDeleteSo glad your daughter is still there helping you. Glad you're both feeling better. I have a crown in my future too, I guess. Oh well....do take good care. diane in northern wis
