Far Guy woodcarved for a bit on Saturday morning. He felt pretty good in the morning but the afternoon was a struggle for him.
Far Guy cleaned the bathtub and he scrubbed the bathroom floor for me, I could manage the rest of the clean up in the bathroom.
I did some laundry and had a nap.
Supper was BLT's and corn on the cob.
It was a smoky day with very unhealthy conditions out there. So we stayed inside. Sure hope it rains on the wildfires soon.
The Grey Headed Coneflower or Ratibida pinnata is in bloom in the wildgardens. I see them swaying in the breeze out the window.Minnesota weather: High was 76F or 25C low was 58F or 15C eh!
Far Side
I'm glad hubby was feeling good enough to help you with some cleaning. Hope you both are healing and resting!!
ReplyDeleteHappy week!
hugs
Donna
Too bad about the smoke as your temperatures are wonderful. It's been nice here this week but then we'll be back in the 90's...ugh. Maybe the cleaning exhausted Far Guy....I know it does me. Take it easy.
ReplyDeleteEvery relatively good moment that Far Guy has is a gift to be treasured. I am thinking of you two often.
ReplyDeleteThankfully the smoke was much less here yesterday. Friday it was awful. Hope it clears up for your area soon so you can enjoy your surroundings more.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cone flowers... A sweet blessing when FG feels good...glad he was able to get some carving done. Continued prayers for you both....hugs..
ReplyDeleteI sure hope you get some rain. AND the wind blows the smoke out of there. A step outside is good if you can breathe the air
ReplyDeleteYour Minnesota weather is sounding pretty good, except for the smoke..
ReplyDeleteI love your native cone flowers!
So glad FarGuy is having better days...even if it is part of a day. That's great! Still praying for continual shrinkage. Supposed to see smoke lessen by Monday it says, not who knows. Rain would help. :)
ReplyDeleteI fixed blt’s for sisters one night. Bet yours were better than mine. Poor FG. He got a lot done even though he wasn’t at his best.
ReplyDeleteIt's so good to hear FG is woodcarving again, Connie. Mornings are the best time of day for me too. I always say whatever I don't get done by 1pm doesn't get done until the next day. Love, Andrea xoxo
ReplyDeleteI have that flowe in my garde and it's one of my favourites!
ReplyDeleteI envy the temperatures you have. we were 30 and humid yesterday.
ReplyDeleteI too hope that smoke clears up soon. It's hard to do anything much when the air quality is bad. Good news that FG felt good enough to do all that!
ReplyDeleteI hope there is enough rain to let them get control of these fires.
ReplyDeleteYou have had so much bad air this year! We an only hope the fires are under control soon.
ReplyDeleteMy Yellow Coneflowers are also blooming in my wild bfly garden! The smoke is no fun. It's been a Summer of mostly crap weather/air here too. The air must be horrific in Canada.
ReplyDeleteI rarely see the coneflowers. They are so pretty. I hope it rains aplenty!
ReplyDeleteSadly, I suspect the fires will continue for some time yet. Perhaps into September. It certainly puts a damper on summer.
ReplyDeleteThat coneflower is unusual. Very different.
ReplyDeleteI pulled up a map of Wildfires and it is surprising how many there are even in the US. Yikes. I would love to have a summer without smoke in the air.
ReplyDeleteWell, at least we will have winter??? LOL.
Those cone flowers are gorgeous.
LD....The coneflowers are wonderful. I wish I could eat corn on the cob. I will just stick with my green beans or peas.
ReplyDeleteThis smoke sure is getting tiring.
