Late

The Late Lilac is in bud.

Yesterday I got just about zero accomplished, yet I was busy all day.  Odd and ends all day long that needed to be dealt with, some organizing, putting some things away in their proper place.  I sold some old photos on ebay so I got them ready to go to the Post Office.  So there ya go.

I finished this months read for book club.

Supper was BLT's.

  1. It sounds like you got much accomplished, Connie, even though it may not seem like it. You accomplished what needed accomplishin' and that counts for a lot. Yummo...BLTs! ~Andrea xoxo

  2. That lilac looks like it is a deeper color than most of the ones we've had over the years. It will be pretty! A day of organizing is what I need around here.

  3. We had BLT's also....leftovers from the night before.
Nice about selling some photos! I have yet to venture into ebay for selling things.

  4. this sounds like a lot of my days....I think I'm really busy, but don't get anything accomplished. The lilac looks like such a tender bloom but very pretty. Yay for you to have sold some photos...I need to learn to sell on ebay...

  5. Funny. I just finished a book last night, and we were just talking about BLT's and finding some good tomatoes (since our garden is not ready of course). I am behind on my book blanket again.

  6. There are definitely days like that when you feel nothing is getting done but you're busy all day. It's cloudy and rainy here at our Missouri campground but we were able to have a campfire last night before the rains set in again.
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy

  7. I'd say you accomplished quite a bit when you neaten things up.

  8. For a day you got nothing done it seems you got a lot done!

  9. Love to see the lilac - mine are just finishing but they were wonderful while they were in full bloom

  10. I have many days like that. I spent almost 2 hours separating an old extension cord from my oven cord and then looking for a new extension cord. I have no hand strength anymore but I finally got it with the help of a screwdriver and a knife and the Lord's help!

  11. Sounds to me like you got a lot accomplished. If you make lists, and you had writtien all of that down, you could have made lots of check marks. Sometimes I write my list after the fact, just so I can acknowledge what i did accomplish. Your post is your list.

  12. I have a lot of days when I accomplish a bunch of nothing. You seem to have finished some projects and that is great!

  13. You probably went hurriedly all day. It’s so humid here I’m just sitting and reading. Ashamed.

  14. A good day is a good day, even if you don't do much. Maybe even better if you don't do much.

  15. You may think of it as little accomplished, but things got done and things got put away so I'd call it a win.
We're warming up nicely until the weekend when it cools off again!

  16. I have lots of days when I'm busy and get nothing done. It's a lot of work simply being paralyzed!

  17. It's nice to have a lilac that blooms when other lilacs are done.

  18. I miss lilacs - - such a wonderful fragrance.
Some days are like that here, too. I think if I didn't have to do all the regular stuff - - laundry, housework, etc. - - I could make some progress on other projects or have more time to read. At least we are still upright and able to do it - - even if it is a slower pace in this house.
Yesterday, we had spaghetti to go with the meatballs. The majority are now in the freezer. Today was delicious chicken stir-fry with carrots, broccoli, and onions in a savory sauce. Of course there was rice as a side dish. BLTs are one of my husband's favorites.
