Yes it snowed, it was not an April Fools joke.
Before we left.
After.
It was not a fun trip thats for sure. It kept on snowing after we got home. We have more snow now.
The roads were mainly wet and the temperature hovered between 31 F and 33 F.
We are still in a Winter Storm until late Wednesday or early Thursday. They say we may get up to 10 inches of snow...we will see. We are happy to be at home safely.
Far Side
I'm glad you had a safe trip despite the weather. We had snow, ice, rain, snow. Looked awful out there. I was thinking of you guys! :)
ReplyDeleteSpring snowstorms seem to be the hardest to endure. I remember spring storms in Colorado.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness....I was surprised to see HOW MUCH you got. And more on the way?
ReplyDeleteIt’s always a bit of a shock to see snow after you’ve already started thinking of warmer days ahead. Hopefully, this is the last bit of winter weather, and soon you'll be seeing those signs of spring again. In the meantime, stay warm and cozy inside as the storm passes. Here’s to a safe and peaceful rest of the week for you.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear your trip went well despite the snow. It seems to have stopped here, finally. This morning I woke to fog and overcast sky. C'mon sun!
ReplyDeleteNot funny Mother Nature!!!! Up to 10 inches? Craziness. We are having severe thunderstorms with lightening right now so that is fizzling out my plans for the day.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post
ReplyDeleteWe’re getting rain today through Sunday. Flood warning and wind, but I can say it’s better than your snow! Hope yo don’t have to go out today.
ReplyDeleteWe got snow down here, too. According to the weather forecast you may get a lot of snow today. We will get rain. Happy days, you made it home safely!
ReplyDeleteWe got grapple and 23* I'm tired, tired, tired of winter.
ReplyDeleteGlad your trip went safely. We got a bit of snow too, it sure seems like true spring is holding out on us.
ReplyDeleteGonna be almost 80 degrees out here in Northern CA this afternoon. Can't see why anyone would live where you have 3 or 4 days of summer and winter the rest of the year. The weather is great here, the rest of things, not so much. My dad, who was from MT, used to say there they have 2 seasons: July/August and winter. He came to CA in 1938, as soon as he was old enough to leave MT, and never went back, except for 2 weeks every summer. The best of both worlds, I suppose.
ReplyDeleteSpring snow is always so wet and heavy too. Hope it all melts quickly for you. We've gotten some much needed moisture the past couple of days, both rain and snow. And our lawn is already looking green in spite of the cold temps.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like our place a couple of weeks ago when we got 8 1/2 of snow. I hope this is the last hurrah for the season for you guys. Glad you made it home safely.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
Thankfully you got back home safely.
ReplyDeleteDid you have to go up North for the appointments? Glad you got home safe. We have big storms coming for the next 3-4 days! I may just move to the basement permanently!
ReplyDeleteJust to Fargo but that is still 90 some miles one way.
DeleteVery, very thankful you made it home safely. Hopefully your appointments went well.
ReplyDeleteWell, that's s'now fun. I did discover from my FB memories that we did have snow here on April 1st about 10 years ago.
ReplyDeleteYay, spring!
ReplyDeleteWinter weather just doesn't seem to end this year.
