My Mother was a fabric hoarder quilter. After she died we gave away some of her fabric to people who sew. I do not sew, so I saved some for our daughter Trica and Jen picked out some pieces that she wanted. I have a friend that I grew up with that makes quilts and donates them and does a quilt raffle for Leukemia every year. I picked out pieces of material that I thought would look good together in a quilt and saved them for Janet.
Well done!

Wow, that is so beautiful! What a great way to deal with the extra material! I used to hoard fabric scraps when I was making teddy bears out of material just like this. I let a lot of it go when I stopped sewing. I'll probably get into that again as I kept all the patterns I made and restructured.

ReplyDeleteLove the colors and this quilt is so very pretty. When our grandson (Tucker) had leukemia, there was a group of ladies that would bring throws to the children (Children's Hospital) and what a wonderful blessing this was to not only the kids, but to their families as well....
